watched quite an interesting doc-u-men-tai on that London yesterday...
'a paradox, surely?' i hear you all say, but no, it WAS actually interesting.
was about the history of a place called Arnold Circus in the East End of our sorry excuse of a capital, England's first council estate, and how it's changed over the years, from being somewhere they stuck all the Jews, to somewhere they stuck all the (Francis) Bengalis, to somewhere needy sorts score indie points by getting ridiculously OTT mortgages.
not sure what the rest of the series has been like, but this WAS GOOD.
