and then not all for about a month after because of the shame
One time on a night out (I was very drunk)
I had a Greggs pasty, followed by a big mac meal, followed by a portion of chips.
I didn't eat junk food for two months...
you sit down at a table and get cutlery and tables service at those places
on a US Air Force base in Germany with my parents?
My mum doesn't get fast food at all. She'd been in a McDonald's once I think. I was trying to explain the process to her whilst a queue grew behind us. Anyway, having finally decided what variety of offal in a bun she wanted, she asked whether they could provide her with any cutlery.
FFS! The all-American homecoming queen type behind the counter looked at us like we were fucking aliens (and i don't blame her).
That put me off fast food for a while.
Are we saying that all fast food is bad food, or not?
For instance, i had a lovely salad somewhere the other day (really), or a potato and cottage cheese at Fat Jackets yesterday.
Technically, i eat 'fast food' quite a lot, but it's often not junkfood, g'emme.
I think that the likes of McDonald's get bad press for being 'unhealthy', but then it isn't sold as health food and frankly, people know what they're getting into.
It is isn't supposed to be eaten day-in/day-out, but personally I don't think there's anything wrong with junk food every now and again. You could eat it every other day with no ill effects as long as you were otherwise active.
McDonalds, Burger King, KFC etc about once every couple of years
Subway- about 3 a year.
has anyone ever 'Done the triple' (as nobody calls it) and eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner at three different fast food establishments...ON THE SAME DAY?
course of a day, not nine meals in total.
Since then I haven't had fast food. Before that id have it once a week, on Sunday.
What was your review?
it was incredible. INCREDIBLE.
but never again.
then i'd say probably fortnightly (local chippy, chinese, indian, thai etc)
Subway on the way back from ATP.
Chips/pakora/etc on the way home after a night out ~once a month, maybe.
McDs for McWees.
Have never eaten (or been, iirc) in a KFC.
Other than that it tends to be non-franchised fast food places. kebab shops, fish & chips, Chinese etc. I try and go indie as much as possible anyway, makes life more interesting. I wish I'd just got a burger from a kebab shop yesterday, would have been cheaper and nicer most likely.
- for a quick snack between work and meeting peeps for drinks/a gig/ whatever - when its obvious that dinner isn't part of the evening plans
- last train home and i know i won't have food in the fridge
- on the way back from a festival or something
