Silly people, innit.
More "further evidence".
Anyway why not use all your brilliant reasoning power to make a counter argument? Oh... Yeah.
It's like a magic eye puzzle. Thanks man.
they were an utter shambles.
G4S = G(roup) 4 S(ecuricor).
It was Group 4 who had the prisoner transportation contract. now various other firms have it, including GEO Amey (or Geo Maybe) as we call them.
every G4S security guard I've ever met has had the IQ of an infant
if it's management policy to source their frontline staff exclusively from people whose qualifications are only just enough for them to hope for employment at minimum wage then you've got deep worries
i turned up for my "interview" in a shirt and tie and the interviewer took the piss out of me for it. and then the four other men in my group interview had to leave because they didn't have visas... :D
no wonder they put me in the hospitality section
But it certainly highlights the main problem I have with privatization in closed markets - the total absence of accountability
but I was in the gym yesterday and they had the radio on and it sounded like whoever it is who is responsible for this UTTER SHAMBLES was crying while apologising. That wasn't a Tory MP was it? I don't think I could take a Tory MP crying, it would mess with my worldview too much.
This is no longer a left/right issue, these service companies are fucking awful as anyone who has ever had to work with them will tell you. Thankfully, this will most likely scupper G4S's plans to move in on probation contracts.
Then maybe they wouldn't have taken so many risks and not bid so low or been better prepared.
It's a pretty compelling argument for less state intervention, if you ask me...
i sort of felt a bit for that guy, being shot down by a bunch of suits in full public view like that.
Was kinda hoping he'd turn round and say "Yeah, y'know what, stick the contract up your fucking arses, you shower of shits, i'm out".
or privateisation of public services is never a good thing
but that's not to deny the fact that contracting out public services makes absolutely no economic sense whatsoever.
