and there have been multiple threads. but I might as well use this opportunity to ask if anyone has seen Mid Morning Matters on Sky Atlantic and how it compares to the online version. Is it exactly the same?
I was unsure hence my reticent thread title.
it was on telly a few weeks ago though...
Anyway I quite liked it but preferred Open Books. More classic Partridge moments.
except there's a little intro bit, and it uses 2 online episodes for 1 tv episode.
It was very funny.
I've got it though, I can upload it to some fileshare thingy if you want. Total wank though.
it was great! and tohereknowswhen you should be able to find a torrent now.
I hated that episode as did many people I know. But I'm sure others loved it.
It was good, friends seem split pretty 50/50 on which episode was better tbh.
but only on 2nd viewing when I sat down and watched it with my undivided attention, having it on with other distractions was totally the wrong thing to do. Think I preferred it to the 1st, thanks for the link btw :)
OF COURSE I CAN, IT'S MENIAL WORK!
Better than I expected. A couple of clunky / not very funny bits, but some genuine lols in there too. The best thing about it was the over top pastiche of Andrew Graham-Dixon types in the delivery of links to camera. Stuff like that can be really bad but I thought Coogan pulled it off brilliantly. Little touches too like the interactive map with the car angrily overtaking the bus on the road to Thetford Forest (that fucking road!!) shows they have actually thought about it.
If people thought this was bad, I'm not sure they like Alan Partridge.
the book, or better still the audiobook, were much better.
Can't say I found either of them particularly good, if I didn't already know and love Partridge I'm not sure I'd have watched to the end of either of them.
