If so, what is it like?
I'm often a bit unsettled by people who don't own a dressing gown.
you can see me in it when you are in manchester if you like
I associate you with dressing gowns
no, looks nothing like a gown opening
and will often pretend to be a monk / jedi knight
I never use it but it would be weird to have a dressing gown without a hood.
blue, towel like material
I don't really trust women who own more than one dressing gown, same for excessive collections of pajamas...especially if they have penguins etc on them. Direct correlation between that and being lame in bed.
I also have an eyemask which is like a cats face.
One stays in a bag at the end of the bed that I was supposed to take to my boyfs to have a dressing gown at both houses HOWEVER he has no hook for it so I don't want it laying around.
I have penguin pjs. and panda pjs. I am not lame in bed.
I don't really see the need.
And if the neighbours don't like it, they can move.
Neither does my boyfriend.
I don't even have a boyfriend.
It's gone wrong again.
people like to have one but for me they aren't of any use. I sleep in a t-shirt (if cold weather) and boxers. After I wake up I go straight to the shower. After my shower, I get dressed. I don't have a halfway situation between pyjamas and normal clothing. That's me and my dull reasoning.
even in the shower
Long johns <3
thanks for asking
i bought it from ikea a few years ago. If I ever wanted a role in a provincial version of Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat then my dressing gown would do the trick nicely.
Who buys dressing gowns in Ikea?
people buy all sorts of stuff in IKEA that they don't initially intend to!
I own that dressing gown, as does dis user jazz-ballet. We are big fans.
Like how many hours a week do you estimate you're in it and out of those hours how many are made better by the gown?
For walking about the house, getting a tea, chatting to mum, playing with the cat.
I get up and 15 minutes later I start my commute then eat breakfast in work. No room there for any kind of lounging.
I am a lady so I have to preen. So I get up, don the gown. Go downstairs, make a cup of tea, come up, go into my mums room, chat with her, there is usually a cat there so we talk about that and I cuddle the cat, then go into my room and sit and do my face. I can't do my hair in my gown though. Its weird. Its just not comfy but make up is fine.
and it never stays fastened, and is really short. So it's a bit pointless really as the whole point I have one is to have something to put on quickly if the postman or someone wakes me up and I need to answer the door before they vanish again.
It gets used for those occasions when someone's at the door before I'm out of bed. I don't really think they want to see me in just my boxer shorts.
what's everyone's problem with being seen in their pants? it's fine. i answer the door all the time in mine
If so I insist on trousers, at least until we've established the rules of them game. If it's not happening on sunday you've got pants Carte Blanche.
but the idea is yes. don't worry, i'll put some pants on
so obvs I'm keen for board games but no sweat if you've got other committments. Just drop us a line.
I've been trying to get a board game group together all year! Weren't we talking about this on Monday in Fuel too - you never told me about this secret soiree with wilykit!
i never heard anything like it/ all of you get to my fucking house on sunday and bring games
and I tagged you in it and have pestered everyone since. Dave and Emma are the only two who are definitely in the club with us, you said you'd join but you clearly have no memory of this, but you're in our games club now whether you like it or not.
I'm working on Sunday so it depends what time :(
I have less distance to travel and you can ply us with free booze. Problem solved.
I've asked them to have some in the bar and they told me to find some for them so it might be a cool place to meet up actually!
OH GOD. I love board games. Can we do one at a pub or something when I come up next?
Or on Thursday 9th August in the eve. I am up for work.
you're here soon! I can't wait!
I have considered those jedi ones though.
True fact. Hardly ever wear it though.
Would quite like it back now that I have become aware that me walking around in my boxers is quite unsettling for my flatmates.
just go with it
SO the most i would put on would be a cardi or hoody. But, i was bought a dressing gown at Christmas past, i didnt take it off for months! i never knew someone could be that comfortable! i'll be getting a new one this year, for sure :)
what if it accidentally flies open? You need to wear clothes underneath but then there's no point wearing the dressing gown.
