with me refreshing with f5 but some other ones won't, so i to refresh to see if there is anything new?
And I'll F5 in a minute to see if you've reworded that into something I can answer.
i can just sit there with my arms crossed and without going neat f5 words will be appearing EXCEPT on other sites like DiS you're sat there with your arms crossed but you won't see this until you press f5. is it just better design?
Not better design as such, just different design innit. Unless it's an email inbox, sports result page or similar, i'm not a big fan of pages or sites that auto-refresh.
and it's brand new with no comments and then when i'm half way through looking at it BOOOOOOM some i don't even know is being funny about it
Out auto-update. Whatevs. It's just the way the site is built/programmed innit.
like why there is that big space over there
Fixed width just means that a site always looks the same, regardless of the size of your browser. A scroll bar will come into play if the web page is wider than the browser. Fluid (non-fixed width) is when the web page re-sizes and re-justifies the flew of text to match the browser window size. Using Opera mobile at the mo, so normal rules don't apply, and can't remember how DiS behaves. And this subhead is making me feel weird.

expect to see a lot more of this when HTML5 becomes the standard, basically webpages will resemble applications more and more in the next few years.
