Trivia; James Earl Jones narrates the intro but doesn't appear in the film.
but yeah it is
but im not sure the idea is so terrible
I'll wait for the podcast as it will be more entertaining than what will be posted here.
However, I saw this one at the cinema when it was released.
Still, I think you were trying to pass this idea off as your own! They even said it was available on Youtube. Give them credit! GIVE THEM CREDIT!
Especially if he was drunk.
I was undecided between this and The Crow (it should of been The Crow) Stop jumping to conclusions.
Must of just been a coincidence.
You people hurt me so bad!
(Also, they did Superman III when Superman IV exists? WTF?)
But yeah... sorry...
It's light years ahead of films like Tomb Raider and Van Helsing, for example.
It's not a good film, it's just your average 5/10 middle of the road let down.
The moment Stallone took of his helmet he left the cinema in disgust.
He couldn't have even finished his popcorn.
I have about 250 progs at my mum's and a load of earlier material on Titan / Marvel.
But I also think if you stick rigidly to any comic when you make a film you risk stuff that simply won't work. Watchmen's a bit of a prime example: one half of you is all, "Wow! This is JUST like the novel. AMAZING!" and the other half is, "Oh wow! This shit just doesn't work / is a bit dull and plodding when it's live action, isn't it?" as some stuff comes up.
Dredd doesn't reveal his face in the comic, that's fine but it's cheap and effective comic stunt. But when Judge Dredd is played by Sylvester Stallone then I'm not really sure there's any mystery here.
Things I liked about this film included the fact that someone else played Rico but they still looked believably similar and Hammerstein and the Angel Gang, even if the latter was fairly wasted.
I wasn't so hot on the weird way in which they seemed to have an all-white cast while the comic was pretty explicit in showing a lot of different races. Some effects were good and some were dogshit.
From the future and everything.
I enjoyed it anyway
Is it? Really? Is it?
Also did you enjoy it after having heard it was utter shit and therefore preparing yourself to watch a shit film and have a good time? I think part of the problem with Judge Dredd is so many people went in hoping it would be amazing.
but i did quite like it.
i think it was on telly once and i happened to watch it. i had no expectations at all, i'd never heard of it. I thought it was good fun and looked good.
judeg dredd is just shit. it looks rubbish, everyone is crap in it, teh plots awful ( not really bothered about this, but on top of its other flaws), its not fun, its just a drag.
it's a terrible Dredd movie and not even a very good Stallone one. Demolition Man is better at both of those things, for some reason.
how can that be so awesome and judge dredd so terrible?
When my mum recently sold all my megadrive games on eBay, the only one that wouldn't sell was Judge Dredd.
I blame the movie, the game was great.
we should watch that next!
Up until then I thought Fisher Stevens was from India. True story.
Should watch this instead.
