like an italian restaurant or something?
dunno how good it is, but any place called Tops is okay with me
but have you ever been to www.coffeechocolateandtea.com in Finnieston?
it's fucking amazing... that's where you can find the best damn coffee in glasgow.
I'm pretty sure I've had much better coffee in London
(Also good for breakfasts.)
are you reading this james
Actually it's usually pretty busy even on a weekday morning.
If you're round there there's a place on Tottenham Ct. Road up towards Warren street from it. I think it's just called 214 and has a bike above the door. They also do good coffee.
if you like your coffee quite lagery
If you can't find such a place you're fucked.
(I've yet to have a good one from Eat/Pret/Costa.)
But almost positive North Tea Power would be the best in town
but their tea is a constant source of disappointment for me
I'm just going off the billion amazing reviews I've heard in the media and from everyone I know. All I know is I drank some of the hottest chilli sauce you can get with the owner once and I think I started to hallucinate a bit and he just went pale and didn't speak for a while. This is my only experience.
but they serve it in a mug. I don't like that.
They don't know it, but a few months ago meowington and her Tory bit passed within millimetres of me in Westfield Stratford when I was - spookily enough - slouching in to get a coffee to fight a raging hangover on my way to the tube station there
what are they meant to serve coffee in?
Mugs are for tea and, at a stretch, instant coffee.
but what are you meant to serve coffee in then?
don't say a cup, because a cup and a mug are the same thing.
A mug is too big for a (well-made) coffee.
a cup and a mug are the same thing. you can get a small mug.
glass is just silly. it gets hot.
A brandy balloon and a champagne flute are both glasses but like fuck are you going to drink brandy out of a long thin glass (or vice versa)
Sparkles or something.
but often has incredibly bad service and I've had some quite lovely and some totally skanky lunches in there. Overall (I've not said this phrase for AGES...) it's a curate's egg.
DD just come to my work and keep me company!
cause I'm getting caffeine withdrawl headaches and can't function and I need to clear out my house by tomorrow morning :(
that's all you'll need for the day
I need something to make me feel like everything ok.
do you want coffee or don't you?
PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER WOMAN. I don't really drink caffeine so I can't relate here but everything's ok, there there...
(I'm singing this to you)
I've been in the daytime midweek and it's great. Especially considering they will refill yr tea for free. <3 Tecup
It's been better lately actually, I'm being unfair...but about six months ago I had some awful experiences in there. My mum keeps making me go back though cos she saw someone from Coronation Street in there once. She's easily pleased.
