Cyclists in London
I recently started a new job (just in case you missed the 23930484494 posts detailing such) and as it's a short commute I've decided to get a cycle-hire thing and cycle into work. 20/25 minutes either way, perfick.
Now, I'm by no means perfect, but...FUCKING HELL.Do cyclists here have a brain? Just thinks like, deciding that the stopping bit at traffic with a big bike in it is just not quite far enough, and instead just cycling and stopping in a no stopping zone. Or not even looking at traffic lights or looking out for pedestrians when crossing. There was a guy this morning who was so far ahead of the traffic light he didn't see it go green, so he was a bit surprised when everyone started zooming past him. At the next light, he was an inch away from completely taking out some city dude.
Another one this morning cycled all the way ahead of the traffic to the front of the queue at the lights, then set off at the pace of an arthritic turtle. What's the fucking point?
I, of course, expect this moaning and self-righteous post to come and bite me in the arse on the ride home. Cheers.
