Who else hasn't had their wages through yet??
It was very amusing.
Totally shit form by the bank
Death sanitised through credit.
Been with Natwest for years though, and actually always found them to be very good (for customer service), so i'll let them off this one.
and each time i've been into the branch and they've returned the money to my account by the end of the same day.
The Marylebone High St branch are particularly good/friendly. Last time I was having problems with my account they sorted it out very quickly and politely. Made a point of seeing the branch manager afterwards to tell him I thought his staff were really good. I always think that good customer service should be recognised, as all too often people only speak to the manager when they want to complain.
And their call centres are, I believe, all UK based. This is quite important I think when trying to offer good customer service.
I LOVE YOU NATWEST!
might just switch then
Its being called a BANK HOLIDAY ..badum chiisshh (drums)
No biggy, though, i'll just transfer some beer tokens over from the ISA.
Sorted now, apparently. Money should be in your account today (unless that's something my boss is telling me to make sure i come in, idk).
Panicked when I checked my balance. really to get out of my overdraft so I can leave the fuckers.
that they have their credit rating downgraded.
one for the conspiracy theorists that
Although I'm not supposed to get paid for a week, it's still pretty annoying.
I have worked in a bank where this sort of shit happened with credit cards and that wasn't fun but I can only IMAGINE how awful it'll be for those trying to deal with customers who are missing their own money! On pay day, which is meant to be the happiest of days!
as a result of the inconvenince over 1,000 of their branches will stay open until 7.00 tonight, will open for full day tomorrow until 6.00pm, and open on Sunday from 9.00 - 12.00.
Can't really argue with that response to the problem.
i don't usually check my account on payday but pretty much everyone does, cue entire country coming in and complaining
Haven't been able to log in to online banking for most of the day. Guess it's just everyone trying to check their account at the same time to see what's going on.
they might actually have had someone there still who might have been able to get down to the bottom of it and fix the problem rather than putting a sticking plaster "solution" in place.
There I said it.
Should have preceded that with "I'm not racist but..."
in favour of people who are only working to a Service Level Agreement, most likely across more than one account, tends to lead to a loss of knowledge and inability to support said systems properly when something goes wrong.
This looks like a classic example given that FOUR days after critical systems break, they say they still don't know what the problem is and can't commit to a fix date.
It's sensationalist bullshit. Would have expected better from the Guardian (LOL, JK).
You might start a run on them and the world will end again.
Just suck it up and take your non-salary-payment like a man
My employer banks with Nat West. The employees who use Nat West have now been paid, admittedly very late, but the rest of us still haven't had a penny. Good job i'm such a self-sufficient, high-earning life success, else i'd be pretty pissed off.
As a financial services firm we receive every day millions of pounds in deposits to our client account. Nothing today. Hence lots of pissed off and distressed clients. Nightmare to deal with :(
They closed the branch my account was at, lost my address in the process of transferring it to another branch, admitted it was totally their fault, but still charged me for the privilege of having letters and statements go AWOL.
Switched to Smile. They've been faultless.
