        • Not all of us had a fancy upbringing and went to some kind of finishing school

where they tell you the acceptable times of the day for eating snacks. I'm just trying to live the best way I can and I don't need some nark breathing down my neck every time I eat a walnut at an inappropriately late hour.

          • one fried egg, mushrooms, 3 chipolatas, a weightwatchers bagel & an apple

egg - 6/10 - put it on too late in the cooking process so the top wasn't as cooked as I'd have liked. the yolk was disappointingly small.
mushrooms - 7/10 - chestnut are far from my favourite frying mushroom but tasty nonetheless.
chipolatas - 6.5/10 - a little bit tasteless but with a bit of ketchup they were still pretty good.
bagel - 8/10 - a very pleasant surprise considering it was a weightwatchers one (they were on offer)
apple - 9/10 - pink lady, enough said (see apple thread)

Groats are the hulled grains of various cereals, such as oats, wheat, barley or buckwheat.
Groats are whole grains that include the cereal germ and fiber-rich bran portion of the grain as well as the endosperm (which is the usual product of milling). Groats from oats are a good source of avenanthramide.

Groats are nutritious but hard to chew, so they are often soaked and cooked. They can be the basis of kasha, a porridge-like staple meal of Eastern Europe and Eurasia. Roasted buckwheat groats are also known as kasha or kashi, especially in the United States.

Wheat groats, also known as bulgur, are an essential ingredient of the Middle Eastern dishes mansaf and tabbouleh.

either they've improved how they make them in recent years OR its because I was using 1% milk rather than my usual semi-skimmed but they don't seem to turn to mush like they used to and that I heartily approve of
