i assume you're unemployed
Basically i replied to this ad on gumtree sending off my CV etc without really looking at it....
and now i have an interview tomorrow morning but i'm really confused whether its an interview for an actual job or just an appointment to be on the books for them as a recruitment agency??
You'll prep in pretty much the same way either way, right?
(not trying to be rude, just sayin')
Sorry, looks like a waste of time
Well i suppose it wouldn't make a difference, it'd just be better to know what i'm actually being interviewed for.
Okay well i've just read that yahoo thing and i dunno what to do now...should i go and just see what the deal is? Definitely do not want to get involved in door to door sales.
They're prob deceptive to customers and you from that
Only clue. Vaguest ad.
A rather naive mate came up to stay over after being offered an interview ten minutes after applying with this company (if he'd have told me this before he set off I would've told him not to bother), and didn't have a clue what the job was or what the company did.
He did his day there and came back still none the wiser what the job actually entailed, but he'd been told he could be a manager within 6 months and earning £100k after two years, and was told to come back the next day for some on the job experience. I'd done some digging while he was out and it turned out that all work is door to door sales, all on commission. I played along for a bit before letting him know (he was still actually planning on going to the second day at this point) and he sheepishly laughed it off, but some people are properly suckered into this shit.
A bit tl;dr but, basically, don't waste yout time. Alarm bells should start ringing as soon as you see the really vague, unspecific job spec and company website.
