Transit Of Venus
It's tonight (early hours of tomorrow) !!
Obviously the view from here will be fucking awful, it will probably piss it down all night and I'll end up both missing it AND dying from pneumonia, but it doesn't happen for another 110 years and I should be dead by then so it's probably best I tried to see it.
For the uninitiated: basically, at about 4AM tomorrow morning the orbit of Venus lines it between the Earth and the Sun in an event that happens in pairs every hundred or so years. Last one was 2004 and the next one will be in 2117.
