like someone who was your general dogs body and did your washing, got your shopping, organised all your shit.
And considering the take home from 100k is only £64,608.96 that'd leave me with 44k. which isn't a large amount of money when I look at what I am paid right now and my current planned outgoings.
and how much extra stuff you could get done!
What a sad act
i tried the same calculator with my own salary and it was perfect. so... what? the 64k seems about right...
it would cost you much more than that.
and then NI etc would come off them. like I am paid 100k they'd be paid 20k gross. ya?
but yes, if they wanted take home of 20k it'd be more uh huh huh *nods*
fair enough. i am utter useless at tax anyway.
Plus, this thread is utterly unfathomably boring.
You pay NI on your salary and your employer ALSO pays NI as well. Not a figure you see on our pay slip, something over and above your gross salary.
wow. i genuinely had no idea.
Kinda like... a PA?
if you were paying them 20k you would also be having to pay employer's contributions on top of that. It doesn't really matter... Don't get dragged down to Pentaro's level.
You really don't want to be down at my level.
I see what you did there.
but no way would she have a dogs body
god bless her
...one of the PAs has a PA. True story.
100k a year, but how much would a PA cost to hire? Even minimum wage would put a huge dent in that.
'pa' means dad.
If I earned £100k and was self-employed I'd hire someone to manage my diary, handle my calls and post and sorted my admin.
I might also consider getting a cleaner in every couple of weeks.
I'd still do my own shopping and stuff though.
You only have to pay them 8k
tell you what
it's nine-and-a-half thousand pounds
i'd hire a live-in chef. they can stay in a spare room for free, all meals provided (by them) and a salary of 12k. they have to cook a healthy but delicious breakfast, dinner and lunch. the rest of the time is their own.
mainly because i always imagine if i had enough money that i didn't have to worry about how much of it i was spending on food, i'd spend loads on shitty food and get fat and die.
not a business a typical pa. the type rich famous people have that are just their bitches.
It's not a money thing. You'd only do that if you were a complete cunt.
and press up
(for some bizarre reason, I have a picture of your food cupboards in my mind.....why? did you post a pic? problem is that I also have a commentry of them in my head too)
like fuck am I having peas every night.
but i don't think 100k is enough to justify it
for say 25k?
for my current yearly salary.
but I still like to do my laundry and wipe my own arse etc.
but you cant afford the negative press doing what you do satan already has his eyes on you ;)
doing IT contracting if you had a good year. As I do it I like to imply bias and believe its morally neutral depending of the clients of course :)
*I've never had anywhere near as good a year, cos im lazy :P
for free (travel expense necessary)
Wasn't this the figure bandied around recently as the threshold at which certain DiSsers would consider never using public transport again, instead taking cabs everywhere?
If so, I like it. It's like "Wow, £100k, imagine that - that must be what it's like to be David Beckham or The Queen or Jedward or something."
Either way, it's better than £55k.
decided that anybody earning over £30K was 'rich', that was fun.
What's the national minimum wage at the minute, about £8?
That extra penny's all-important.
As stated above, after tax you wouldn't be able to afford a good 'un.
If I earned 100k a year I'd do the following:
1. Hire a really great tax accountant
2. Hire a personal shopper who could spend the tax I'd save on clothes because I'm useless at clothing myself
3. Hire a cleaner. Although I may be bordering on OCD on cleaning I will never, ever clean my oven unless it sets on fire. Self-cleaning, my arse.
4. Give much more to charity than I can currently afford.
There are also lifestyle management companies who do some of the basic jobs of a PA for the cost of your gym membership a month. Although I doubt they'll get your cash out on a Friday and buy your family's Saturday morning breakfast each week.
he does also deal with my shit.
You're talking salaries
Oh yeh, you work in Insurance?
You met Electrelane
You know the girl from Sleater Kinney
You said you couldn't understand
Why it was that she contined to play
When she was only earning 10 Grand PA
