nearly started a thread about pantene pro-v earlier on. what's my life come to?
and what a thread it is, everybody
that was what i wanted to say; i wondered if others had the same issue
threads are supposed to be interesting?
See you down the front*
*It is unlikely I will be at the front
from vikram/OceanStorm !!
work is sucking hard and it's only 9am. On the upside, I'm dishing the dirt on a previous employer this afternoon and possibly looking at a nice new flat in Hitchin.
stop talking about how sunny it is where you are. It's grey and cold here :(
have to spend an hour traveling for a shitty 10 minute meeting thats completely useless, and then waiting around for two hours, and then an hour back. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
today I got the train and feel sweaty but a lot better for it. going over to a friend's house tonight for a REAL CURRY that her mother is going to make. They are indian.
I had a roast chicken last night and forgot to use the left overs to make my sandwiches, which is lame.
Come to think of it, I believe it played host to the hottest temperature recorded anywhere in the UK this year, 26.5.
it get's very little rain compared to the rest of Scotland thanks to it being on the east, and i guess the weather is mostly warm. apparently we get about the same rainfall in aberdeen as they do in New York city or Rabat, Morroco... :/
I love living so close to the beach. Will be sad to leave, when I eventually do.
will take a longer board though (insert joke here:.....), I was getting slapped silly by the waves.
and we're only a week or so away from Winter.
My housemate went there for a wedding a couple of years ago and was astonished at the full array of regional accents he continually encountered. I know that Sydney and the Gold Coast are popular with backpacker/gap year types, but it Perth seen as the new frontier for ex-pats or something?
Japandroids tonight, innit.
Beautiful morning. It's so beautiful that I am wearing a DRESS (the last time I wore a dress was probably when I was 7. I am such a tomboy). I feel a bit self-conscious.
Got a hardship fund request for a LAWNMOWER today which was pretty lolworthy as we only give money for 'studenty' things. I'm calling her as I want to hear their excuse for asking for a lawnmower. Went in wonderland games yesterday ZOMG its amazing. Spent a load of money on 10mm miniatures last night. Like £300 worth :s
and wont be able to study as she'll be homeless. Genuinely taken aback. Told her to get the scissors out and get going
you heartless bastard
Meaning I got no sleep meaning at least I got to watch the Youtube k-pop concert. But now there's a fandom war going on so I have to stay off facebook / twitter / tumblr for the rest of the day.
I've been alternating between watching Pokemon, Beyblade and Yu-Gi-Oh since 6am. Illness makes me so nostalgic. And I need to go post some eBay stuff, or message people to say I'm ill and can't dispatch for a couple of days. I'm too scared to do that though, so I'll just go out and make myself more ill >.<
Got shouted at by a man at the train station because I wanted to top up my oyster card and he said he won't put £2 on there.
Then got chatted up by some sexy man in Taylor St Baristas and got a nice double espresso.
On the one hand you obviously have girls in nice clothes, on the other it's a nightmare trying to find something appropriate to wear yourself. I can't go to work in shorts. I feel fat. And now there's going to be the added pressure to be doing al fresco activities. I just want to go home and watch Game of Thrones, not be all happy joy joy cheering on that bloody torch.
Saw Japandroids last night. Pretty ace. Bryan is a dreamboat.
in the office, its well hot outside (and inside).
got a bottle of asda beer. nice.
off to las iguanas later.
you look like a monkey, and you smell like one too
need a change. job is shite, pay freeze in effect across the whole company with no prospect of a bonus, earning an entry level salary at the age of 25 and spending 50% of it on rent with none going into savings or a pension. just not sustainable.
Would love to pull a sicky but I have Things To Do at work that can't be rescheduled. Meh.
On the plus side: no, fuck it, no plus side today. Bring on the weekend.
Because I just came far too close to vomming on my desk.
Sun is FINALLY out. Feeling rubbish. Loads of hard decisions to make.
Otherwise. It's Tuesday. I guess that's a good start.
Please, please, please I need this so much. Also, horrible realisation that I have no vaguely appropriate clothes / shoes, and no money with which to buy vaguely appropriate clothes / shoes. Excellent.
As for clothes, can you borrow any? Or try a charity shop? If you have a hunt around you could probably find a smart jacket or something for not much money.
Charity shop is an idea. Guess Matalan or somewhere might be okay too. Shoes I probably can't save on though, if I'm going to be on my feet all day. I'm so ridiculously in debt now.
what's job are you being interviewed for?
But I need it desperately, and the company seem pretty good to work for. Perfect hours too. The interview is an assessment thing that seems to mostly involve interacting with customers, though, so it could go kind of horribly wrong.
after the interview I always find it a nice touch to send them an email thanking them for their time and that you hope to hear back soon, or something along those lines. As for attire, Just go for the most presentable outfit you have.
Nothing to report. Hey TBO, when are you going to carry on with your 60s thread?
got to write an essay in 3 hours today so better do that first.
keep falling asleep though
But I have exams.
Hiring an editor who has no experience and only spends three days a week in the office :')
It's nice and sunny though.
I want to take my clothes off and lie down but i'm waiting for a parcel :(
then I cooked lunch with a tin of green beans that were about 5 years old cos I've no other food. They tasted really bad. Maybe I'll barf soon.
I need to find a rat sitter.
