Because it's not.
Looks fake. Of course, the images are, but it makes the reporting seem fake. I guess it's to stop people copy and pasting the messages... but it feels horribly cheap.
Also, is this the 21st century version of uncovering letters from the past? Ugh.
I read a bit and it barely seemed to make any sense. I also didn't understand how they'd get hold of data like this which is, presumably, protected under some sort of privacy law.
I mean when they write:
"Over the past two years, we have interviewed more than a dozen sources familiar with aspects of this story -- including people involved in the founding year of the company. We have also reviewed what we believe to be some relevant IMs and emails from the period. Much of this information has never before been made public. None of it has been confirmed or authenticated by Mark or the company."
I assume they mean, "We made this shit up," right?
Also they came out ages ago. Not sure why this website's splashed it as an exclusive.
what i meant was why put so much effort into them to make them look so fake?
