I assume I have your full agreement?
Bit too greasy for my liking. prob the goodfellas thin crust one.
Speziale must be my favourite though
Great value, as well. Tesco have them on offer now and then, two for £2 or sutin. Madness.
I prefer the mozarella one, but quite like the funghi, too, and i normally am not too Steve Kean on mushrooms.
not really a fan of the one with red onions on, forget what it's called. might even be the one the lad just above mentions.
i beleive there's another flavour but i've never found it.
Just like Coca Cola, Ben & Jerrys, Doritos - because the demand's there.
Can't finish one now. Friday feast is probably the nicest going at the moment.
*made in germany
Chicago Town takeaway pizzas are the best frozen pizzas.
Get the four cheese one. Add your own anchovies and jalapenos. Winner.
I mean it might not be authentic Italian but for the price you get a pizza that exceeds ones found in most take aways, even if it's cooked in a standard oven.
In Shepherd's Bush there's a bit that is (almost) LITERALLY just takeaways (near Bush Hall), and you can get a personal pizza (I think it's 9") for £1 in most places.
I think I know the place in Leeds, it was called Gangsters when I lived there, and had an awful, pixelly picture of Tom & Jerry on the sign and was just a big white desk in front of a big oven and there was shit everywhere. Then they changed their name to Simpsons Pizza and changed the sign for an equally awful picture of The Simpsons where the colours were all wrong. Many, many times I succumbed because they stayed open until mental times. I once woke up surrounded by 5 or 6 of them, all nibbled at, and another two I had dropped on the street still in the box. A low point.
the dry dock on a tuesday <3
I also enjoy a nice Goodfellas number, and I really like ASDA's fresh create your own ones too.
EXCEPT that shit chicken one
Create yr own from Asda are infinitely better, or the fresh ones from Morrisons are pretty nice too.
really salty though, which obviously makes them EVEN more delicious, like all the more deadly things are.
Not as bad as Chicago Town though. What the fuck is up with that shit inside the crust?
Only the stonebaked ones. Normal Iceland pizzas are shit.
but they're pretty shite, far too think and crispy, basically a cream cracker with processed cheese on top. Actually, that doesn't sound too bad.
I'm not sure any frozen/supermarket pizzas are all that (the posh expensive Chicago Town ones can be alright), doesn't stop me buying them though.
and weird cheeses. Four cheese pizza with... gouda, anyone?
Perfect 'fuck, I'm late, better cram some scran in' dinner
I have a Doc O drawer in the freezer, out of the boxes you can fit 10 in a drawer <3
you cook it.
ergo it tastes virtually the same as when cooked from fresh.
glad to clear it up for you.
I always make sure I have a frozen pizza at home. Just for emergencies or when I can't be arsed.
Fresh is nice, but they cost a shitload more over here and I really don't think the difference is that discernible. If I want a really outstanding pizza I'll make it myself.
I cannot buy herbs and spices over here. Just bizarre powders labelled 'curry'. Fresh stock is non existent. And you can forget about 00 Flour.
I've stopped buying frozen pizzas and gone for frozen flammekuechen instead. Mmmm lardons and creme fraiche and other stuff.
i do this too
just make sure you have a proper pizza tray and preheat the oven then the base is always spot on
they're proper cheap in heron foods though, i'll get a stack tomorrow
then add exciting fresh toppings. Winner.
but if you just want basics, pepperoni, ham/pineapple, sausage, etc these days there's plenty of very good ones to choose from. in fact i'd argue some frozen are better than some fresh.
Its one of the only foods where I opt frozen instead of fresh out of choice. Unless the is an Asda Create your own near by
yes i have had this
where did you get it from?
why do we have to make do with a shift in healthy food :(
have you ever looked at the nutritional information bit on a Sainsburys cheese feast stuffed crust pizza? it says that a serving size is HALF a pizza. so if you eat a whole one, you're eating two recommended portions.
and who doesn't eat a whole one?
and have peanutbutter and/or cookies & cream involved somewhere
when I was in San Francisco last summer I had like no money and lived off $2 pizza slices the size of my face.
Still, means I've got an excuse to eat whole tubs of ice-cream in one sitting
ate it in one sitting, no freezer but really wanted to try it.... so worth it
you do know the fresh ones, that taste nicer, yes? (yes.) they generally barely cost any more, yes? (yes.) and you can freeze them if you so wish, yes? (yes.)
all lies! LIES LIES LIES! I used to think this way, then I had some of the premium Fresh ones (DR Okert, Chicago Town & Godfellas) sure I'd agree Fresh > Frozen on most things but with Pizza it doesn't appear to be the case (unless it's the create your own range) now away wit you
`locks in the vitamins`
frozen veg is better for you because it locks all the good shit in, but i mean god knows what sort of process the minimal veg on a pizza goes through before it's frozen
'with chargrilled peppers, red onion and a drizzle of pesto oil'.
Base is a bit flimsy and insubstational
Morrissons fresh > Dr Oetker ~ Goodfellas ~ Aldi frozen > ASDA frozen ~ Morrissons frozen > Tesco frozen
To my limited knowledge.
