Here we are then. The final weekend of what's been quite an enjoyable old season so far. Things still to be decided - the final relagation spot, whoever's to get their hearts broken by Chelsea beating Bayern, and something about a title, idk.
Hard to really say which team will be the unlucky third to drop. Difficult for me to wish the both of them well really, but having been there i'll certainly spare a thought for whoever out of Verbal or LLB's unfortunate enough to see their side lose out.
The Champions League spots are virtually sealed, i think. Both London sides should win, one of them might end the season a part-time Bayern fan, but both have done well in parts; Arsenal to put a bad run behind them, and Spurs to have been in the mix virtually from Day 1...well, Day 3. Newcastle will quite probably finish 5th, but there's absolutely no reason why they should be disappointed with that. The best team and manager, pound for pound, and some thoroughly entertaining football.
As for the title...well, i've made my feelings clear. I'm still pretty sure City have got a wobble in them, and given how this season's gone you couldn't rule out one further swing. Hopefully, Parsefone's right and i'm just a negative Bertie, but i think it's pretty clear which one of us knows his onions. One thing's for sure, City won't win.
Chelsea 4 Blackburn 1
Everton 1 Newcastle 1
City 2 QPR 3
Norwich 2 Villa 2
Stoke 2 Bolton 1
Sunderland 1 United 3
Swansea 1 Liverpool 2
Spurs 2 Fulham 1
West Brom 1 Arsenal 2
Wigan 1 Wolves 1
Other games of note include play-offs in Leagues 1 & 2, the Eredivisie and the Turkish Super Liga, plus Montpellier v Lille in a huge Ligue 1 fixture.
