apparently that's omelette?
what's your favourite sushi piece?
Fish is for ponces
I like pretty much all of them though.
http://www.ease.com/~randyj/tamago2.jpg this one yeah
i love them all, except with weird animals like eels and prawns. so really just the salmon/tuna/vegetarian ones. i hate making sushi though, its always so ugly compared to restaurant/tesco ones
^ something I read once
YEAH THATS RIGHT CALI!!! no california :)
Also, if anyone says California Rolls: FUCK YOU.
That's not fucking sushi you fucking hipster.
but it's not. AVOCADO AND CREAM CHEESE GET OUT OF MY RAW FISH. It's sushi for pussies.
it's Americans. I'm far from a US-basher but they really dropped the ball on the sushi front.
Salmon and prawn are my faves
as correctly mentioned above, it's a sweet omelette and what you tend to get over here on most sushi is a comparatively awful mass produced version when put up against the proper thing: it's kinda spongy as described and you don't get the effect of the layers quite so defined as it should be.
Unless you're not actually a fan of eggs, I really recommend having a go at making it yourself, not necessarily as sushi if the rice is too much bother, just the omelette itself, might change your opinion of it. There's a really simple single egg recipe here: http://justbento.com/handbook/recipe-collection-mains/1-egg-tamagoyaki-japanese-omelette - no particularly specialist ingredients required, or if you like it/can get some mirin (cooking sake) this one is even better: http://www.justhungry.com/tamagoyaki
My favourite sushi is probably nigirizushi with mackerel, or pickled diakon maki rolls.
Japanese food is the best!
does anyone know of any good vegetarian sushi restaurants in london?
