I wentto Uni there. The crescent is pretty as is the Abbey.
There's a pub called the Huntsman near the centre and they do walking tours around the city from there which are supposed to be really good. What do you need to know?
which are interesting. Some old arcades. Worth going to the new baths and sitting in the swimming pool overloooking the city but that is bloody expensive. Loads of cool little pubs and restaurants. Boutique shops. Lots of interesting architecture obviously. The cathedral looks fantastic lit up at night.
Came for uni and got bedded in. Its a really good place to visit. Don't bother with the bus tours and stuff and just spend some time walking about. You'll get just as much out of it and everything you might want to see is really easy to find anyway. Theres several pretty good pubs. I used to be assitant manager at the salamander but its gone a bit posh since i was there (obviously). If you just want a pint/some sport on the telly go to Flan O'Briens. If not, then theres plenty of 'classier' pubs. Verbal, i think i met you in Al Falafel once and we talked about putting on gigs at our respective universities. It was a long time ago.
I've frequented Al Falafel numerous times. You could have been talking to Phil as well, my partner in crime and commonly known on here as lemonbrickcombo.
How is it these days? I went back for an old boys football match recently and I forgot how much I missed the place.
I wondered what that smell was.
:D
It's really posh.
Nice to walk round.
Quick and easy to pop to Bristol.
I like it

Oh yeah, I went to the new baths when it was dark.
That was brilliant. I'm not sure if you'd be able to do that at this time of year, though.
Amble around, go into pubs, eat fudge, sit by the crescent, look at the buildings.
This place about a 20 min walk from the centre was nice too http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/376726_2416899394477_1611120014_2316274_1638298704_n.jpg

I vaguely remember this.

it's a rip off though
£12?! Go see the Roman baths in Welwyn for £2.50!
I've not actually been
couldn't really afford it.
Bath, alongside York, is one of the few places that I wouldn't level with tactical airstrikes in my Purge Of The Midlands/North
Ok I'm worried that you think Bath is in the Midlands/North.
Yeah i sort of...
yeah. I knew what I meant but even as i hit enter i was thinking "shit".
i always place bristol on a map slightly higher than london.
which is stupid.
and that begats further stupidity, because then i figure that bath is therefore also above London.
Basically I'm an imbecile who will hopefully never procreate.
begats
just knocking them down today.
Do you consider 'North' to be 'North of Weymouth'?
:D
alright alright
It's all about Schwartz brothers.

Thank you all
More pub and food tips always welcomed.
There's a lovely Nepalese restaurant in the Pavilion ie the shopping centre opposite the post office
other stuff:
St Christopher's Inn is fun.
The Hobgoblin is a fun pub.
If you walk up to camden crescent at night the view of the city is stunning.
I'm staying at the St Christopher's Inn!
Whether this is a good or bad thing remains to be seen.
Hai.
I have an email I sent to Sarky with lots of tips for food and pubs. I'll forward it to you.
