What is the process called that makes the bolt on the left (with a shallow hollow section at the end) become the bolt on the right (with the lip kinda splayed to hold it in place.
and is this something that's simple and doesn't require a massive tool [hloolaloola] to do.

A temporary measure is to hold down SHIFT when hitting return.
