Or better still, download one of thos mp3's of a rainstorm or something like that and listen to it on your headphones.
Sounds a bit silly, but they do work.
There's also a phone app called white noise, with loads of other things on it.
it's almost as if they're doing something to their ceeling which is my floor and its shaking the entire room & they appear to be hitting the pipes non stop & it's really loud... can't even hear my tv :(
I have resorted to using normal earplugs and then ear defenders over the top - that would block out ANYthing.
Depends how you sleep though, because obviously with those things on you can't turn your head. Worked well when I was working nights before though.
