We feeling it? I'm feeling it.
I liked this.
Can't see the second series bucking that trend.
Works very well, I think.
yeah we detected damp
Is that what people are supposed to look like?
Women are like roads, the more curves they have the more likely you are to kill yourself
Amstell himself is slightly annoying in it, mainly the constant *should we? Is that the sort of thing people do? Yes?* stuff, but generally I think it's really well written.
Also, Clive might be one of my favourite characters in anything, ever.
I think Simon actually said 'he's a ridiculous character' during yday's episode.
I'm stiff in real life too!
that was meant to be in the speech marks
that's what he said
That's what HE said!
Big love for this.
i only associate it with bands really.
I don't know if any of you gentiles realise this, or indeed if matriarchs are the same when they're not one of God's chosen people, but she completely nails it. It's like watching a flashback, right down to the smoked salmon bagels and fish balls.
but this is really superb.
Such a strong cast.
y'know...the moustaches, etc.
can't drown them anymore.
I've just cut up the melon!
I think I might kinda fancy Simon's mum. A bit. Kinda. Know what I mean?
When people look back on comedy and realise how great it was between early 90s and now, they'll find Rebecca Front in a lot of the killer shows.
She's different in ever show too. Insular and odd in Night Night, loud and brash in this, knowing and able to carry the show in Thick of it, quirky and surreal in The Day Today and just about anything you can imagine in Knowing me knowing you.
She's a great actress, and on top of that one with impeccable comedic timing.
but in this I find her accent/manner a bit hard to believe, it always sounds very put on rather than natural. But maybe that's just because of how much I've seen her in all the other things. Was surprised to find her a bit grating at times in series 1 but I've gotten past it now.
James Smith is great though. Clive is almost as good as Glen. <3
it's ok, never laugh out loud funny though and sometimes quite grating.
and Simon went "oh he just wants to know if you'll marry him"
Fucking slayed me
Because I have a footlong.
