Tired. Poor. Did I mention tired?
The world is a bleak place this morning.
Let's dance or something, idk.
It's just lashing it down with with rain, I have a pile of boring work, and every penny I spend in the next two weeks takes me closer to financial ruin. It's a very mundane kind of bleakness.
Plus, Made in Chelsea has gone shit. What's the point of living any more?
Made in Chelsea has GONE shit?? What on earth was it before?
Generation Y FTW.
Why do you think its gone shit hyg? I think its pretty much the same except Francis Boulle keeps getting hotter <3
I like how Kimberley has shaken things up (and the fact she's stunning), but all the other relationships just seem really samey. Hopefully they've finally dropped the Caggie/Spencer line. It needs much more Mark Francis / Francis to liven it up.
She's sooooo annoying and not THAT attractive like everyone is saying she is and she has rabbit teeth. RABBIT. TEETH. and she talks all weird.
I also like how Spencer didn't want her after he found out she was a virgin :D Smooth, Spence. Smooth.
sex with a virgin isn't that great.
all I want to do is sleep. I could hear the rain tapping the bedroom windows this morning which is always an indicator that I should stay in bed. Also, I had a dream that Jarvis Cocker was my Dad and Mia Farrow was my neighbour.
Scored two net busters at football last night but even the memory of that stellar performance can't lift todays glood.
miserable in york too. Might be going to a very nice pub later. Other half is going to see Mcfly today. Slightly ashamed of her.
It was chock full of highly singable songs. Plus, you have to give them respect for their recent DIY approach. And they come across very well on the TV.
Great bunch o' lads.
but this is the second time she'll have seen them. It's not on.
When they released the greatest hits (or a dvd of the same, idk) i was instructed to pick it up for her from woolworths, as they were doing a cd of b-sides and stuff. The following occured:
Me:(takes cd/dvd to counter) er...have you got the free b-sides CD thing...
June: I'll just check....MARGARET, THIS YOUNG MAN WANTS TO KNOW IF WE'VE GOT THE FREE MCFLY CD TO GO WITH THE CD/DVD...
June: YEH, MCFLY, FOR THIS YOUNG MAN.
I was ready to pay when she handed me back an empty card. Excellent.
Listened to Camera Obscura and Feist on a blanket infront of my fire last night. I am such a romantic cliche.
I want a fire.
it was super duper romantic. like a movie. a really really twee movie with Zooey Deschanel in it and a soundtrack that was composed by james mercer or james murphy.
but I take your general point, you old romantic bastard you.
Getting a train to Leic now from London for a few days of what were supposed to be Birthday celebrations but sadly now I have contracted "man-flu" in the day of my Birthday :(
if I had been in work today this would have been my very first sick day ever! But A/L has saved my record so that's a very dull silver lining I suppose....
At least Arsenal lost last night and the new Spiritualized alum is very good.
quite excited, there's been a lot of buzz about it.
Easily their best record since the 90's
big scary thing. gotta polish my shoes.
It's a good thing. Lets you take control.
think it will take my mind off the gobbledegook mush of two different languages and a whole bunch of facts and figures going around in my brain
Kinda slows down here at the turn of the financial year while everyone gets their old and new budgets in order, but because it's not an evil multinational corporation I feel bad about doing either pointless busy work or nothing. Should pick up next week, at least.
PAYDAY, but it's Tuesday and I've arranged to go the gym after work so I can't make proper use of it.
Every time I fly its like I have a greater pool of anxiety to draw from for the next time I fly. THAT flight back from Amsterdam, THAT flight to Bulgaria....arrghhhhh
Definitely don't read this then: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-sussex-17730154
see Cilantro and Coriander
then you might not have came across cilantro.
Cilantro = corander leaves
Coriander = coriander stalks.
That's what I heard, anyway.
i didn't see coriander anywhere in texas. apparently the seeds are called coriander in US/Canada, but the leaves and stalks are cilantro.
BUT you can buy majoram AND oregano in the uk. wtf?
However, one book I have claims Sweet Majoram is oregnao, while Wikipedia claims that wild majoram is oregano or something like that.
This probably explains why the first oregano plant I bought had much smaller leaves than the current one, but they both claim to just be 'oregano' on the labels.
First interview in just under two hours. Fucking bricking it. But i hould be ok when I get there.
next one after that is at 2pm so you know, wahey or sutin.
You're everything they're looking for and more.
NOW GROWL LIKE A TIGER.
1. Forgot my umbrella AND raincoat so I got soaked
2. Trains were cancelled and delayed so I had to stand in the rain more
3. I tripped up the stairs in work and spilt half the box of cereal I was carrying in a bag that was this special gluten free cereal that costs about £3 for a teeny tiny box.
you'd think they'd have come up with a solution to this by now.
Apparently a train broke down. It meant my train got cancelled and I had to get a delayed one that came along like 12 minutes later. NRGH
Big tupperware for it from now on, I think. You can get them in Robert Dyas in Leadenhall St. Market.
with the chance of spillage and it costs fuck loads I don't think that's too insane an idea.
I need more tupperware. I think its something I just need to invest in.
FUCK THIS DAY.
I give a fuck. Downton Abbey is my fave.
Very excited. Booked it for my girlfriend as a Christmas gift and she's even more excited as she's actually not been abroad without family before. Anyone got any little recommendations? I got the main bulk of stuff "to do" covered, but if anyone wants to let me know of any ace places to eat/drink/see/buy records over there then please shoot away.
absolutely stunning. Properly :o stunning.
Here for sandwiches and cava http://www.canpaixano.com/canpaixano-dentro.php (cannot stress this enough)
El Petit Apolo if you want to sit at a table with your own beer tap
Finished Egils Saga last night, thats 20+ hours I'll never get back. Work has gone insane, and when you only have 7 days left the motivation to care doesn't exist.
having not done nearly enough work. Also I have to fagging change trains at fagging Stevenage. First world problems, I know, but irritating nonetheless.
it's fucking horrible.
Very unpleasant place. Luckily I only have to spend 7 minutes there but it's still a faff.
rotten. You should have got off at Hitchin, far better there.
in a really good mood! :D
i'm sorry if you are bored and tired though.
ordered something for next day delivery on sudnay. it's unlikely to be here by wednesday. what the fuck. and they are still offering it NEXT DAY deilvery for tomorrow on their site! wtf is the problem... i could order it today and still be quoted a dlivery for tomorrow. what's the point in offering next day delivey ffs.
Next day should be next day. If they weren't sure I'd imagine he'd have made the effort to go to a proper shop for it.
what then!> :(:(:(
and it actually said NEXT, Day Delivery
I think I might come and see you. Today. Okay? Cool. See you soon.
i'll get the kettle on
So, so bored with the job that I've decided that it's better to bin it rather than get to the point where I've become numbed to the tedium.
Also better to quit whilst I'm not physically hating it and angry about having to come in. Feel rather good about having taken control of the situation. =D
did you just tell them you didn't like your job?
I started a new job about 7 weeks ago at the university but it's so boring. No one even talks here. I say hello to everyone in the morning and no one replies. It's like that episode from Friends with Jason Alexander. I was looking for something a little less demanding than my previous job (recruitment, for my sins) but I spend the most of my day aimlessly browsing the internet. However, I wouldn't mind staying at the uni as it's a great place to work. Any expertise would be grand.
Was in the company of a group of friends I hadn't seen for a while over the weekend and they were all talking about hating the jobs they'd been in for 6-10 years and it made me pause and reflect over the remainder of the weekend. Did I want to stay in a job because it was comfy, but moaning about it all the time, rather than make a change.
Told them yesterday that I was going to resign, had a meeting with my immediate supervisor this morning, then another with the dept head half an hour ago.
I'll be kicking around here until about the end of June in order to get some projects finished, which is a month longer than I had initially anticipated, but it gives me another month to figure out what I'm going to do next.
although aren't you a bit scared about not finding anything? Suppose the fear will push you into doing all you can to find other work.
I feel like I'm not far off from finding a job I'm happy in, just not quite there yet. I'm definitely in the right sector. However, I cannot see the appeal of Finance at all.
feel quite 'centered' about it all.
One less thing to gripe about. =D
so I can find something part-time. All the best jobs round here seem to be part-time but I couldn't afford to be in one right now.
shared house has been sold. being kicked out in 2 months. Options:
1) Move in with different good friend in shared house in great location. others are an unknown quantity. potentially could fall through leaving me high and dry. need to decide quickly. may lose deposit
2) stick with others. no house to move to, going house hunting soon. are quite a lot of us. get on with them all very well. no guarantee we will find anywhere in 2 months so may then be left high and dry finding a room with randomers on my own. may keep deposit. more flexible for time.
You could make pegs to earn many ££££'s
great location. potential new pals.
cons: you might lose cash, but it also gives you potential time to get the scratch back together.
2) pros: you know who you'll be living with.
you could get a really nice place.
cons: it's going to be the same situation in a different space.
loads of folk house hunting at once will be like wrangling cats.
it might still go tits up at the end of the 2 months and you'll have to take the first thing you can.
If I were you, which I'm not, but bear with me here, I would choose option 1.
as it may be they want a girl instead. i'm seeing them on thursday. but if i do get the offer then i can't really turn it down. good hustle
anybody wanna hang out? anybody got a spare for Japandroids at CAMP?
going out for lunch wooo
I don't really come on here anymore, but I returned to make the whistling thread. Great thread.
Going to see this tonight, it's free cos it's part of the homeless season. http://www.cornerhouse.org/film/cinema-listings/dark-days-2
Got loads of new projects lined up, including a venture into an art project that could be awesome.
My mouse is still here. My rats have mites. Creatures enjoy squatting in my house it seems.
moousee and cat race would have been names for the rats actually
Woke up knackered, but didn't have to go to work till 9.45 so had a bit of a lie in.
Think my girlfriend has Appendicitis. Am waiting for doctors results :/
