Moderately amusing things you sometimes notice that could work in a (probably shit) sketch show
Was sat on my own in the college canteen today eating a pasty. There was a little notice on the table I was sat at saying:
"This is a self clearing area, please leave tables as you would wish to find them."
So in the sketch show our actor is seen sitting down and getting comfortable at the table holding a tray with a plate of chips on it after having returned from the business end of the canteen and he lifts his fork to his mouth with loads of chips on it but stops just before it enters his mouth as he notices the sign on the table. He leans forward to read it and squints his eyes slightly to emphasise his actions for the viewers at home and the screen is then filled with the sign itself:
"This is a self clearing area, please leave tables as you would wish to find them."
The camera cuts back to the actor and he gets up out of his seat and walks out of shot with conviction but the camera remains focused on the empty table, the sign, and his plate of uneaten chips. 20 seconds later (comic timing crucial) he walks back into shot carrying: a big black briefcase which he then opens and places onto the table revealing it's contents (full of cash), a massive pizza and a piece of card which he replaces the sign on the table with and it says 'To [character's name]... for being you X'
