i would definitely not describe that as must-see.
infact, i found it pretty boring.
why is it so highly-regarded?
after it transpired that 'sean' was already taken.
I already knew what happened at the end, so I found it pretty boring.
still a very very good film though
It was quite fresh and cool at the time, but it was because the twist is handled so well that people remember it at all, otherwise it's just a fairly routine thriller.
When I was watching it all I was trying to do was figure out who "it" was, then about halfway through I worked it out and the rest was a bit dull.
The fact it works so well on a second viewing knowing what you now know is one of the main reasons I like it so much.
it's also got a huge cult following (which isn't always a measure of quality, admittedly).
I dunno really, I think it's a really good film for what it is but what it is isn't the sort of film that's ever going to be in the upper echelons of many people's opinions.
FUCK. And to think people rave on about Batman or some such crap and push this aside.
the ultra clever ending, really wasn't that ultra clever.
When I finally got round to watching it, I wondered if I had a version with an alternative ending or something?
Fenster: Man, I had a finger up my asshole tonight.
Hockney: Is it Friday already?
and one that supports my #1 Law of the Universe: People are easily impressed.

not poor, but probably not in my top 100.
you're a numbnut
Becuase it's fucking great. Now go make me a tea.
