Don't watch the show but just came across this on Mashable and it put a big old lump in my throat.
EAT IT COWELL
after saying ''just when you thought it couldn't get any worse'' as they walk out.
Obviously Cowell never actually loses in this situation, even if he does look like a prick.
who actually know about/lover opera ever think ' actually, he's a bit shit, these people are just impressed because he can approximate a relatively unusual style of singing'
A little bit like when whoever off of factor has long hair and a beard and the judges say ' you are a true artist with a unique musical vision... '
Dunno. It sounded good to me.
Just wondering really, no need to whip out the shrug bro!
It was only to get a reaction. This thread is a damp squib and I needed to milk you for another post.
but when they've had a violinist on, generally, yes.
gets totally livid about the success of Katharine Jenkins. There are angry blogs all over the internet explaining why she's not technically good etc. But I don't think it really matters if people enjoy it, so long as they're not taking the jobs from 'real' opera singers by being given leading parts in opera companies etc.
I keep having this problem ffs.
I'm well jel :(
Massively just failed at guessing his last one tho :(
If you don't get it, does it tell you what the answer is?
It was a pretty good drawing to be fair....my lateral thinking is shit!
Your last one was a bit sarcastic! :D
when people would say something to me it'd kinda take a little piece out of me.`
Obviously didn't say many things to him then.
CYNICISM ALERT: I'm sure Cowell knew exactly who that guy was and exactly how good he was long before he walked on stage.
and the editing with all the crowd looking awkward could've been taken from a completely different part of the show.
Still....the lad has clearly put up with some bullying in his life and it was a pretty triumphant moment if you're into that kind of thing (I am).
They'll decide if you're good enough, or mad enough to appear on telly. I'm sure Cowell knows before they rock up what he's expecting.
