Six episodes in and it feels like almost nothing's happened.
Although, he was drunk so maybe it should have lasted a bit longer
I can't bring myself to watch any more. I don't mind slow burn but it's taking the piss.
Theo has called your show boring. Think about that for a minute
Last night my TV signal kept cutting out so it was barely watchable, two second of programme interspersed with two seconds of blank screen. I realised I didn't care what I was missing though.
one detail I noticed that intrigued me slightly - people have been saying Brody's conversion can't be full on because you still see him knocking back the beers - BUT last night his bottle had no label, so maybe be switched it up? Although he could still swap the contents and leave the label on... no, you're right, the whole thing is balls.
Although maybe he it was an elaborate bluff the barman was in on.
God I hate the Guardian comments section.
Do you sew a web? Maybe you weave it. I dunno.
What's important is the web but we're going to waste a whole three episodes debating whether you sew, weave or spin it.
and he's just blown the web load in a single post. Hmmm.
Hey, is this one of those shows where we can show lots of titty to distract from the slooooow storyline?
That said, I'm also working my way through Game of Thrones and there's a great deal of breast action in that. There's a chance that, between that and just generally being a PLAYA, I've become desensitised to boobs.
Whose sole role is to have sex with people then allow them to deliver some character exposition
The bit where Littlefinger interrupts the monologue of his backstory to tell one of the girls to *play with her arse* :'D
would give his monologues to a girl giving him a blowjob.
- It's moving so slowly it is really beginning to take the piss
- Everything that does happens is so fucking stupid, and that's coming from a fan of Jason Statham films
The classic plot device of having someone do something stupid and out of character to drag things out longer.
but I appreciate it does get pretty tangled around episode six I'd advise sticking with it though, one of the biggest twists is still to come.
Now THAT would be a twist.
This just blew my mind. Also, he's the voice of Lisa's fiancé, Hugh!
Today, I am learnding.
But yes, it's Mandy Patinkin.
I haven't really got an exhaustive Simpson's knowledge, although when I started buying the box sets I was surprised at how many I'd seen.
SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN LAST NIGHT'S YET:
Saul on the polygraph was a bit, what's going on there?
But I'm just not fucked about Brody or Carrie.
But I assume it's all misdirection stuff. I am now fully prepared for them to chase that blonde woman for the next three episodes only to discover it's all a big mix-up to do with parking tickets or an FBI sting operation or something.
Brody on the other hand I struggled to get anything from, he just seems completley closed off and emotionless, I get that maybe that's a consequence of his time in captivity but it's really hard to derive any sincerity from his behaviour.
"Sure. Just show me the money."
He's exactly the same as everything else he's in, but with a shoddy Russian accent instead of a shoddy American one.
so I just presumed that's the sort of charater he was supposed to be portraying. These descriptions make him sound a bit like Keanu Reeves.
Typecasting is probably a lot more about someone running a show saying they want to protect their investment so we need a character like X, hence get the actor who portrayed X so well to do this character.
And why not? I'm sure his character is meant to be intentionally closed so the audience aren't 100% sure which side he's on. I don't know if this makes Lewis a bad actor, probably more a limited actor but good at what he does.
That ginger guy pisses me off anyway.
It's not very good, is it. Why's it so highly regarded? 91 on Metacritic. Mental.
That's how little I think of you, Homeland.
This is actually skating on the rim of that with the tiresome storyline about Inigo Montoya's girlfriend/wife (not sure which) and the like.
what happened to the man who was always wiggling his finger?
last two episodes are fairly good.,
The last episode had:
- Potential terrorist being brutally gunned down.
- Brody finding about about Uncle Mike's antics and subsequent punching.
- Brody porking the CIA lady in the back of her car.
- Intriguing lie detector results.
Are you expecting definitive answers halfway through the first series? Because that isn't going to happen. I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU WANT FROM HOMELAND.
I'd love to know what great shows people are watching were they cant bear to waste an hour watching this.
I would say the middle section is the ropiest though and it verged on going off the rails but got back on track. Danes gives a great performance.
