A guy posted ^ this on Twitter, has been arrested, and could go to jail.
This is in no way defending the comments etc, but the charge against the guy is 'inciting racial hatred'. I can't see, from the Mail article anyway, where the 'racial' bit comes in. (I'm also not sure he's 'inciting' hatred, more 'showing' hatred, which to me is a different thing).
But anyway, unless there's something i've missed, I can't see where the racist part comes in. Yes, the defendant is white and Muamba is black, but that's to assume that any crime between two people of different skin colour *must* have a racial element, which is stupid.
Happy to accept i've missed something, or is it really the case that cases like this are automatically assumed to have a 'race' element?
