Apologies if you endured the Southend v Crawley game last night. It managed to pretty much clear out the pub I was in. When the highlights reel is footage of a corner flag bending in the wind you know it's not been a classic. HOWEVER thanks to some penalty saving heroics from our loan goalkeeper Belford it ended 0-0, which seemed like a win to me given we played out the last 30 with just 10 men. Our top scorer looks properly injured though, so that's not nice. And neither was Steve Evans' face. What a loathsome individual.
Benitez throws his name in the hat for the Chelsea job. No class that guy, those Liverpool Chelsea CL ties should mean that he never wants to go to that stadium again. Chelsea incidentally play away at Brum tonight in the FA Cup. Wonder if their 'liberation' will mean Torres gets a hatful? I suspect not...
Kolo Touré has likened Manchester City to the Arsenal league champions of 2003-04. You've gotta win something first mate.
Arsene fancies they can turn around their Champions League tie tonight. The bookies don't.
The FA say they're in no rush to improve this country's employment record but equally that they won't get rejected like an ugly Warhammer playing kid as they did with Scolari. The country sighs and I suspect the Sun publishes another picture of 'Arry wearing a hat alongside the piece.
Rangers need to save £1 million a month. Some players volunteer for pay cuts, which seems totally unbecoming behaviour of a modern day footballer if you ask me...
