Thursday Gaming Thread
So the Vita launched in the UK yesterday... did you get one? I did, it's pretty good... already enjoying it more then the ill fated PSP got the unit + 8gig of memory and 5 games for under £400 which was kind of surprising as I had the intent of getting the system and 2 games for around £350 so a pleasant surprise. I focused on buying the less HARDCORE games but did get Uncharted and my intuition was right, whilst a fine game to play it's just not engaging enough and as a result I have been raping Lumnies and Virtua Tennis 2 which are both great handheld titles.
If you got one add me on PSN (yesiamaduck)
Also Mass Effect 3 is super closer where I'll finally see the fate of Mr. Shep

Virtua tennis 4*
right
i was thinking about buying a new xbox, here's 2 questions:
1) are there any actually interesting, unusual games i.e. that don't involve pretending you're a soldier
2) can anyone justify gaming as being anything other than a way to occupy time? When was the last time a game enriched your life?
2) You can become a professional gamer and make a mint in Japan
1) Rayman Origins
Playing Portal 2 while deeply hungover
made me appreciate the sensation of not being hungover a lot more than I previously had
bayonetta
limbo
super meat boy
braid
rayman origins
Bayonetta is still the most fun I've had this generation
so unappreciated :( it sold bugger all! And people still hesitate to buy it when I recommend it despite it being like £7 at most 2nd hand retailers!
I'd say braid for both of those questions
But i do have that worry sometimes that video games are basically there to pass the time/distract/sedate me and i should be doing productive stuff.
the marketplace has a lot of good games on it
Chime
After 14 months off wow
I succumbed and tried SWTOR
OMG SO EFFING GOOD
My brother fell into the same trap
When I came home for Christmas he'd just got.
When I went home again on the 28th he'd levelled 2 characters to lvl 30
Got The Darkness II yesterday, having played the demo but not the first game
It's a bit stupid and cheesy, but I'm enjoying. Stupid faux-realistic CoD clones had put me off FPS to the extent that I hadn't bought one in donkey's, but it turns out they can still be a laugh when they don't involve Lithuanian preteens screaming down a headset at you and you've got giant demon arms as well as a gun
Still undecided on getting a Vita
having been sorely disappointed with PSP on numerous occaisions and currently quite happy with my 3DS.
I do love a gadget though but having had a quick playthrough in the shops I'm not overly convinced it's the most comfortable thing to hold - although having it tethered to a diplay stand obviously doesn't help.
the big question is GAMES - doesn't seem a lot on release to grab my attention (other than Lumines, natch) and haven't seen much definitely announced as yet. How much do games cost to buy from the PSN store and how much space do they take up on your memory stick?
£2.99 - £49.99 but mostly £29.99
Gamestation has select games for £25 if you buy the system, they take up around 1GB
Wipeout, Lumines, Virtua Tennis 4 and Everybody's Golf are all very solid portable games. I don't know if it has the killer app yet though, Lumines probs comes closest because I personally don't think Uncharted translates to a portable game very well.
Hmmm
I like the idea of buying the digital versions and not have to carry extra games about me but it looks like the pricing is much the same as with PS3 which is just ridiculous.
Lumines is awesome and would be a definite day 1 purchase and other than that there does look like there's a few solid if slightly unspectacular games.
The worry for me is that, as with Uncharted, we'll see a lot of PS3-esque games on Vita without any real thought to how suitable they are for the format.
Yeah I'm wpor
Yeah I'm wpor
I'm WPOR!
Yeah I'm worried about that myself! The panflet I got shows these games as coming soon
Little Big Planet (that'll be fine)
Resistance (I don't think this'll translate well)
Lego Harry Potter (I'm bored of Lego games)
Unit 13 (Looks good but not sure if it's suitable for portable devices)
Super Monkey Ball (The hasn't been a good monkey ball game for ages)
Mortal Kombat (I don't like fighting games but the last one was good, so if it's based off of that?)
That'd be an excellent console line up but I don't know about portable, give me more games like Lumines for cheaper prices plz
the old PSP games are backward compatible though aren't they?
(digital stuff obviously rather than UMD, let's not start on that)
and am I right in thinking you can remap the controls to make some of them actually playable? this would be a big bonus for me
I didn't have any PSP games
but I think every country outside of America can have their UMD's transferred free of charge... not sure about previous purchases you might want to look that up but they all appear to be compatible and PSOne games are soon to be compatible
Turns out I have quite a bit on a Game gift card to use (before they go bust)
So it looks like:
Jak & Daxter collection this week - really loved the first one but can't remember a lot about 2 and 3, if it comes in sub-£30 it will be a top bargain
SSX next week - still a little bit dubious as to how this one will turn out, I'd like to think it will be more like Tricky than On Tour but it probably won't be. Should still be fun though.
Mass Effect 3 - still got a way to go in my 2nd ME2 playthrough as the nicest man in the universe before I can get ME3, really hopng that being a good guy is more fun next time. Not played the demo or read to much about it, although the first announced DLC does include a new Prothean character which is nice.
Finally got Duke Nukem Forever for £4 out of curiosity, I can put up with it being dated, clunky and not particularly funny but it's just sooo boring. Why on earth does it take you the better part of half an hour to even get a gun? (brief prologue boss not included)
The prolouge was what the game should've been
the game wasnt
I played most of the Mass Effect 2 DLC at the weekend.
- Lair of the Shadow Broker – 9/10 one of the best missions that the game and brilliant to have Liara stating about. Very good.
- Overlord – 8/10 one of the best missions too, very Dead Spacey, brilliant play with the form. Also, that Hovercraft thing is pretty much a million times better than the Mako.
- The Arrival – 4/10 not very good, but some nice moments. The twists were obvious, of course, but the idea was good. Didn’t like not being in control of the choice though.
Overall they are all pretty good, I think but some work better than others as after the game has finished. Overlord’s fine either way, but Arrival feels like it’d worked better as a mission during the game.
Pumped for Mass Effect 3 now.
Agree about Shadow Borker, actually better than ME2 in my opinion
I would've liked the hovercraft, except for the combat. Go into range of a turret for a few seconds, go out of range until the fires magically go out. Horrible.
Arrival's managed to be both crap AND bewildering. And yeah, loved the "choice". Do you want to kill 300,000 civilians? Tough shit, you just killed 300,000 civilians.
Finally played through Uncharted 3 last weekend as I had nothing on.
The bit in the plane... wow.
Love that bit
It's followed by a really long annoying bit though, not unlike the dream sequences in Max Payne.
Did you notice that the cruise ship was called the Seaward as well? :D
Yes the desert bit/hallucination bits are annoying, I don't know why game designers do that.
That reference was lost on me (Arrested Development?), but the bit where you escape from the sinking ship - also class.
Yeah, it is an Arrested Development reference
All of the set-pieces in those games are amazing. Redeems them from the many, many plotholes.
morning
still chipping away at Skyrim in anticipation of Mass Effect 3, no chance i will even complete the main quest before i lose myself to Shephard. Also been playing Rayman with my sister a lot!
Mass Effect has been my favourite series this gen, so pumped, not even got the demo in to leave myself as spoiler free as possible.
Moving out this weekend so will have no money, going to trade in several games for ME3 then clock up the hours with a normal run as a nice stock Shephard and an Insanity run as a custom women being an utter bitch....FEEL THE PUMP
yep
i too have avoided the demo.
Been playing Final Fantasy VII with the aim of completing it for the first time ever
Got to Mount Nibel so far. Forgot how good the Cosmo Canyon music is and how characters you're not using level up at the same rate as the ones you are using. That's handy.
<3
I'm due another replay soon.
Gonna listen to the Cosmo Canyon music this afternoon as well
Absolutely rinsing the S word now
Almost up to level 46, completed companions, mages, assasins, thives (but not got the silver trophy for having done all the boring missions to make it *known* again) and now about to raid Windhelm (I chose Imperials, they're actually alright, and the Stormcloaks are racists).
62% of trophies, honestly think this will be my first platinum.
I'm totally going to side with the Imperials
Ulfric is an intolerable bellend and there is, as you say, the racism issue.
Played a Dunmer chap
and thought the Stormcloaks seemed alright until I visited Windhelm. :(
The ghetto (Grey Quarter?) put me right off them
Is it cos I is grey
you get a right load of abuse, and that's before you even get to Ulfric. Talos can go fuck himself quite frankly
Not even a god, ffs
started playing Battlefield 3 online properly now
it's predictably excellent obviously but why so many urban warzones. Where have the fun jungle type ones from Bad Company 2 gone?
Picked up undisputed 3 on release day and I've been playing it ever since
and finally won the featherweight title last night.
+ quite like the graphic based submission system although it's still ridiculously hard to sub AI opponents
+ Pride mode is good fun
The new training exercises are interesting but they make it quite tricky to bring up your overall levels as they are quite heavily targeted towards certain skills. I suppose it's quite nice not having stat decay though.
Married to Aela the Huntress and living in Proudspire Manor in Solitude
That is all.
who do you talk to about that Manor by the by?
Nobody at the court seems interested.
You have to complete a few quests from Falk Firebeard
and Elisif the Fair before Falk will let you buy it. 25,000, plus 11,000 to do it up fully. Pricy.
still playing dark souls uwaaaaaah
fucking about in amor londo, pretty much finished the area except for the boss.. very tough..
final fantasy xiii-2 looks very bad. im gonna end up getting it when its like a tenner though.
Got Driver: San Francisco and Children of Eden from Ilovefilm last week
Driver: SF is very entertaining, if a bit frustrating due to inconsistently 'slack' controls. If you like driving games, I'd recommend giving this a shufty.
The fact you can drive at high speed, jump to another car, drive that also at high speed off a ramp, jump out of that into an oncoming bus and crash all three is great. I was concerned about the shifting from car to car stuff being an arseache, but it's mostly intuitive (when the AI isn't being a complete fucktard) and easy and fun.
If the controls were a bit tighter it'd probably push NFS: Hot Pursuit out of my top 3 (and be placed alongside Burnout Paradise and Blur).
Chidren of Eden (it's as close to the title as I remember and I can't be arse looking it up) is a wierd rails shooter, very very pretty to look at, but gives me wierd eye strain after a while and brings on the pre-migraine aurora without the migraine itself which is very odd.
I was expecting better music than bad early 00's trance on the soundtrack, but you can't have everything.
I couldn't get on with Child of Eden
Got knackered after about 4 minutes and it's really insanely hard. Even when I chained attacks in perfect time to the music (well, due to the Kinect delay you have to do it a second or so before the beat, but hey) I barely stayed alive. Maybe I suck...
It's probably easier just using the normal controller.
I don't have kinect as I don't play video games to excercise.
Still working my way through Xenoblade but very near the end I think
Now in my top 20 games ever. Amazing stuff.
What do people think of the new look EDGE magazine now then after a few issues?
I sorta like it, like I eventually do every incarnation of it, but so far all the covers have been terribly dull. Maybe it's a bad few months but the style of photography on the front and those little boxes inbetween the columns on the review pages don't do much for me.
Things I do love though:
- The reassessments of classic games. Good to see the critique of HL2 last issue.
- Interviews with left of centre experts (Broken Sword creator this one)
- The section at the back which talks about great gaming arenas and underrated equipment
It feels very dense at times and the region specific trades stuff passes me by I have to be honest.
Think I might subscribe though after about 15 years of buying the fucker.
finally got round to playing WWE '12
its not very good. endless counters
Balance the game out
though I agree, it wasnt very good... it was fun at most but sold it before it dappreciated in value
it's ok
nothing special. Better than the last few WWE games. It's a bit smoother from move to move.
Fucking burn it
those fucks are getting rid of me. Torch all your copies of UFC too.
THQ wont last more then a year
Completed Rage last night
was a solid enough game, if a bit short. Really enjoyed the bits that reminded me of Doom (ie. running backwards whilst pummelling a monster with a shotgun) and some of the set pieces were pretty fun. Was quite easy though, played it on the hardest setting and didn't die all that often.
Hopefully going to be playing Batman soon if a friend ever finishes fannying around with the side missions. Going to get Gears of War 3 to play 4 player co-op with some mates.
Really tempted by a Vita, but it's too expensive at the moment. Once you count in the memory card and a couple of game, I could buy a PS3 for cheaper!
Have both Rage and Bulletstorm which I never really got into
I loved Rage for a bit but the find+fetch missions got a little repetitive and lack of headshots was a bit shoddy, will have to give it another crack I think
headshots only seem to work with sniper rifle
against guys not wearing helmets.
Once you get into it, there's not as much repetition as the first hour or so of gameplay suggests.
Bulletstorm seemed a bit too over the top for me. Would probably pick it up if I found it super cheap though!
think you can easily pick up Bulletstorm for about about £8
pretty goof dumb fun for that price
Got gifted Skyrim on Steam
so that has been enveloping my life. Looks absolutely fucking gorgeous, but as with all Bethesda games you look closer and see a lot of things they might've done better. Ah well, that's where mods come in I suppose.
The graphical fidelity is truly lovely
on a decent spec PC.
I'm verily impressed by the PS Vita - considering turning to the dark side
and getting one.
Can anyone tell me how the following:
1. How do the specs related to the PS3? I've seen the footage for the uncharted game and also the COD game and they look very very similar in quality and speed.
2. How does the COD online thing work? Is it a wifi thing?
In other news, yesterday I went on a spending spree....picked up a copy of Mass Effect 2 for £16 and a copy of Oblivion for £8.
I'm quite liking Mass Effect 2, although the controls are a little clunky and confusing. I don't think that they were explained very well.
In regards to Oblivion, I used to have it ages ago but sold it and having spent most of the last 3 months playing Skyrim, any memory that I had of it had been wipred from my hard drive....blimey, it is so inferior to Skyrim that it hurts.
Uncharted isn't PS3 stadards, it looks really quite ropey in some regards
the new Wipeout on the other hand looks stunning & I would be fooled into thinking it was a PS3 game if I didn't know any better
Wipout is my favourite racing series, so I think that game will sell it to me alone.
Just watched some footage.
It looks super, but one thing concerns me....have they taken the dual breaking system away? If so then that's a real bummer....that pretty much made the game.
bought UFC Undisputed 3 this week
Not had chance to play it yet. Anybody had a go yet?
me

Yet more problems for GAME
as they announce they won't be stockingthe rather good looking Last Story or any of Ubisoft's Vita games which include Lumines and Rayman (and Michael Jackson)
Having had stock problems previously it's really not looking too good, I need to get my vouchers spent ASAP!
why wunt they stock POPULAR game?
This game sounds amazing and I might buy it when I get in from work
http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2012/02/23/wot-i-think-crusader-kings-ii/
Oh wow
The kotaku review made me consider playing it, but now it's my first must-buy game of the year. It sounds amazing.
Well I bought it this morning.
Trying to plough through the tutorials now.. I briefly played the first game a while ago but got frustrated with the user interface and not having a clue what I was doing. So far this seems a lot more user friendly
User friendly is good
I rarely have much of a clue what's happening these days.
I'll probably have to wait till it drops in price a bit, and the chances of me having enough time to play it are slim, but god damn I want this game.
Dreamcast fans
Jet Set Radio is coming to XBLA and PSN.
HD?
OH MY FUCK
what a game, what a game
still looks on good on my dreamcast though, would be quite nice to have it on xbla too i guess
total result!!!
PowerStone next please, that would be ace online now
Mint.
Never got the chance to play this.
This just jumped up to being my most anticipated game
I am always excited when a game comes along that offers a totally new experience possible only in this medium. This brief playtest of Journey (from Thatgamecompany, who made flow and flower) makes it sound like it's going to be one of the standout games of the year...
http://www.gamesradar.com/so-last-night-i-had-one-most-amazing-gaming-experiences-my-life-what-happened/
And I'd been thinking it was going to be The Last Guardian
That finally made me buy a ps3...
Been watching this one a while. Looks great.
This is going to be beautfiful
and also the ultimate stoner game
Guild Wars 2 beta
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Invites already out?
The SSX demo is (surprisingly) very good indeed
For all you Skyrim / FF / MEffect / Fallout / RPG players
I've just reached a point of no return in this rpg and it's now or never for a good many quests I've accepted / started. Thing is I really wanna finish the story off now it's at the end.
QUESTION:
What kind of a player are you? Do you go around talking to every character day and night? Take just the missions which give you experience points? Merely accept quests that open up new areas? Painstakingly follow a guide to see every last thing (I know some rpg fans do this and it utterly baffles me).
I find games like this really taxing as I'm sort of a completist but a very lazy one. I know if I want any hope of finishing the game off proper then I ought to do everything to get the higher affinity levels and skills but I'm not sure I can be arsed.
I played Fallout 3 at a mates for a few hours once and the sheer open choices and diverging paths made me more stressed about what I was missing than what I was doing and I gave up.
So, how many OCD completist tendencies do you have and is that what these games thrive off of?
And could you ever face replaying a 100 hour monster like this?
I eventually have a cut off point
For the Fallout games that's usually the level cap. As soon as I hit that I tidy up all the loose ends and get it finished. With Skyrim that's obviously not possible, so I guess when I level up all the skills I'm interested in to 100 I'll finish it. I'm aware that there's so much I've missed, and I often promise myself a second run through, but that never happens.
With stuff like Mass Effect it's not hard to do everything in much less time. Of course there's different decisions you can take and achievements that can only be gained through multiple playthroughs but I can't be bothered with all of that. I've made my choices, I want to see what happens with them. If I started going back and doing different stuff it'd lessen the impact of the story for me. It'd just be a game.
I've kind of lost interest in Skyrim now.
I'm sure I'll pick it up again but at the moment I'm knee deep in Battlefield 3 multiplayer.
Until Witcher 2 or Mass Effect 3 come out I doubt I'll play anything else.
I just think that with skyrim there is always something to discover.
A lot of the side quests are pretty rubs, granted, but Ive discovered 3 of my absolte favourite quests by just wondering around.
I love going onto elder scrolls wikia and discovering new stuff and questd, getting new items.
I might be alone in this, but I tend to pick and choose side-missions quite carefully based on the character.
because I like to be immersed in the game and some of them are so banal and out of character as to take you completely out of the story.
For example, Red Dead Redemption suffered from "Why the fuck would I do that?" side-missions. There is literally no reason why the bloke who is fighting desperate lyto get back to his wife and son would suddenly decide to abandon his mission to pick flowers for a fucking randomer, unless he was really hard up for cash and you never are.
I'm aware I probably miss a lot of content this way, but fuck it.
If a game is worth doing over
then this is a good way to go about things. If it isn't, or it's too much arse, then I tend to think "fuck it" and start doing everything half way through.
With my Skyrim character I'm not joining the Companions or the College. I only became a Bard because it seems like a good cover story- although wearing Thieves' Guild duds is probably a bit of a give away.
I'll typically want to see/hear everything there is, which often leads to boredom before completion
Not just with RPGs but with all sorts of games, I'll happily start of trying to talk to everyone, complete all the side missions and collect all of the million collectables before at some point (and I assume this is in no way unrelated) I get bored of the game and stop playing it. My 2nd runthrough of ME2 is becoming a bit tedious now but I'll probably just about persevere with that.
With so many good games out there to play I can't think I'd ever really want to spend 100+ hours playing through a single story/career based game though, my attention generally wanders before the 20 hour mark so being overly anal about things isn't really helping my completion rates.
Guys interested in some PS3 bargains?
Got some ebay items ending today

I am getting quite excited about the new Civilization V pack!!!!!!!
They are bringing back religion and have included spies and embassies... What more could you want?
Really?
That MIGHT make me want to play Civ V instead of Civ IV.
Indeed
meant to be out in the next month or so
If I'm bored of Skyrim by then
I'll probably delve back into Civ V.
What does everyone think about the Mass Effect 3 day one DLC?
If you aren't aware of this I'll summarise in as non-spoilertastic way as possible:
If you buy the special edition, you get an extra squadmate with their own story arcs and side mission. The character sounds very interesting for reasons I can't go into without spoiling things. I only read about it by accident.
If you don't buy the special edition, even if you've pre-ordered, this will cost you extra. $10 is the price that keeps getting punted around, I guess that'll be 800 points over here.
Pretty shitty, no?
From reading on some forums
it appears to be no different to the other non-essential squadmate DLC from the previous Mass Effect game. The extra squadmate in question only has one mission, but does have some 'weight' in terms of game mythology.
Also, if it's got EA on the box, you have to expect to bend over and spread cheeks.
This sort of DLC will only become more prevalent as the games copmanies attempt to claw back cash they see as lost due to the resale market (for other examples of this see Saints Row 3 and it's 3,000,000 bits of DLC which are being stagger released over the next fuck knows how long).
Oh, I know this is just the way things are now
It may not be surprising but that still doesn't stop me saying I'm mad as hell and not gonna take it anymore!
And then, y'know, take it some more.
My concern is that it's DLC that effects the core game. I don't mind the post game expansions like the Shadow Broker stuff. It's the DLC that effects the actual content of the story you paid for in the fucking first place that bothers me. It could be that it's like Zaeed and Kasumi, side characters who were a bit empty, but given the nature of the character it sounds like it could be more like Shale from Dragon Age. Who was the best character in the game and added a huge amount of content. It would have been less of a game without him.
I guess we won't know until it's released how substantial this thing is. It's probably not worth getting angry prematurely, but then this is EA. If you assume the worst of them you're rarely wrong.
the complete retail game story was fully wrapped up and in production before any DLC work was started apparently
I'm pretty sure that this is a minor standalone bit of stuff that won't make a lot of difference, in fact I'd say that not playing the Shadow Broker DLC would have a pretty big impact on appreciating the full stroy of the series
Shadow Broker is back story, an optional bit of depth
And done very well I thought. This character forms part of the core plot. Apparently the character in question was in the script leaks from around a year ago. The whole, "oh this guy? Yeah we just knocked something up while we were testing," bit doesn't really wash with me.
We'll see how substantial he is I guess. I hope you're right. My perception of them was soured by them including an in game salesman in Dragon Age to pimp their DLC to you. Hopefully I'm just whining over nothing.
as long as it's not as terrible as Bring Down The Sky I probably won't mind too much
a lot of games seem to be stripped to the bare bones only to then be subject to huge amounts of DLC, I'm sure there's penny pinching and cynicism accusations that could be levelled in this case but at the very least:
a) it'll, hopefully, be DLC that is actually worth paying for (I'm looking at you horse armour)
b) the boxed copy in its own right should still offer pretty damn good VFM
it's like Zaeed and Kasumi
apparently and shouldn't impact on the main storyline if you don't buy it.
game has DLC shocker? (think I may have already spoilered this one upthread!)
can't really see what the issue about this is to be honest
Anyways I suspect the new character & mission will be pretty much self-contained and have no real involvement in the real game (much like Zaeed or Kasumi)
It's not whining over nothing
Day 1 DLC is a horrible business, and no, the whole "we couldn't put this in because we came up with it later" doesn't wash- if you're able to sell the fucking thing right along next to the actual product at launch, I'm fairly certain you could have stuffed it into the game proper. This isn't even mentioning all the exclusive weapons you get for buying the collector's edition.
Further to this in order to play the thing on a PC you have to use Origin, by all accounts an incredibly clunky piece of spyware, and pay 50 quid for the privilege. Bioware have happily allowed EA to turn them into the worst manifestation of the modern video game developing world, and for these reasons and more I will be playing ME3 via metaphorical five finger discount.
As a mostly console gamer (apart from the odd strategy game)
I'm entirely ignorant as to why Origin is so evil (apart from it being the brainchild of EA, which is probably reason enough). How does it differ from Steam?
I'm not against the concept of DLC altogether myself, but I think there should be a core game that shouldn't be fucked with and then DLC on the side. Add bits at the end, prequalise it, throw in as many sidequests as you want. But don't fuck with the core game.
Ideally all DLC would be like GTAIV: almost entirely different (albeit shorter) games set in the same space. Or good old fashioned expansion packs.
good old expansion packs
Kind've a distant memory these days, unless you play WoW. And yes, I agree- guns and similar small morsel DLC released at launch I can stomach, but game changers are another. I accidentally read some of the script leaks a while ago, and a) they've clearly had the idea for this character for quite a while now and b) he has a great deal of interesting exposition, as you can well imagine.
Origin is essentially EA's attempt to break Valve's benevolent monopoly over digital distribution, and offers a harrowing viewpoint into what the world would look like if the roles were reversed. As well as being quite slow in comparison to Steam, it also scans your hard drive intermittently. In its original TOS EA mentioned that they do this in order to collect customer data to better target their advertising and check you haven't been naughty with any of their other products. There was a furore over this and EA removed that section, however the scanning does apparently still happen. They ALSO, quite brilliantly, reserve the right to ban you from your games if you are abusive towards them on their forums. Add onto this their price tagging, DLC turkey carving and attempted monopolising- contrast and compare to how Valve generally go about things- and you have a self-fulfilling prophecy when it comes to PC piracy.
Oh and by the by, I believe you have to use Origin anyway on the console version.
Oh yeah, they changed all the EA online accounts to Origin accounts didn't they?
I'd forgotten about that.
Cheers for that chilling vision of things to come. I think I'll go lie down in a darkened room for a while.
EA are the absolute worst
I have an inkling this may not have been day 1 DLC if they hadn't made a big balls up with collector's edition availibility
seeing as it's been impossible to get the Xbox version for a long while now and there's numerous stories of cancelled preorders this may well have been brought brough forward as a result.
I can't speak for any issues regarding the PC version, but if I were to hazard a guess that the retail game will clock somewhere around the 35 (really enjoyable) hours or so mark plus the mulitplayer for about £40 I'd struggle to get furious about being ripped off.
I'm not even going to start with the 'I don't agree with it so I'll steal it' mentality
Like a lot of other people I'm crashing through Skyrim to try to get it '''finished''' before ME3
I thought last night I had done it; having a climactic battle with Alduin, that I naively thought was 'the end'.
Ho no.
Now I have to go back to whiterun and organise some shit.
I have no idea how far the end of the main quest arc I am.
Mr Shepherd may have to wait.
should really be Mrs Shepherd
the female voice acting is much better
Good luck son, I had my final battle with Alduin about 2 months ago
and have been playing it solidly since.
This game literally is 'un-finishable'.
