You shouldn't keep them in the fridge if you want them to taste good....

thanks for that food scientist Peter Barham, I shall no longer climb into my fridge, close the door and eat a tomato like an apple.
I keep tomatoes in the fridge - they keep longer and are nicer a bit chilled, although it probably does kill the flavour a bit.
you want to be growing your own tomatoes and eating the fresh from the vine

Also, chocolate tastes of not much when it's been in the fridge but I love that texture, so what are you gonna do?

If I ever buy aftersun, I put it in the fridge.
I never buy aftersun though.
eating room temperature tomatoes would be like eating room temperature milk.
Also cooked tomatoes are fucking rank.
e.g cold rooms used for storing a variety of foods at somewhere between room and fridge temperature.
We don't have outdoor toilets anymore either.

A pantry is, in effect, a cupboard for food and pans.
it was always pretty cold in there but she did have a fridge too. Presumably you keep fridge stuff in a larder.

it works excellently. Defrost them over the top of the frying pan (if you're frying something) or 15 secs in the microwave.

Although getting the toms out to get up to temperature is acceptable
