I doubted myself then.
You probably should have saved that joke for when Gloria Gaynor dies.
I won't do it again.
She was stunningly beautiful during her younger years, and obviously very talented.
Dear me :(
or this is horrifically racist.
I mean, it's a bit of a batshit thing to even bring up in a threat like this, but it's not racist. Black people ARE disproportionately affected by hard drug use and it IS sad.
Does seem a tad unnecessary though.
the idea of a singular 'black community' where drugs are prevalent is racist. although if people want to discuss/argue about this further then it should probably go in another thread.
we don't want your kind here
the key changes that are in pretty much every song are seriously irritating.
Yeah, not sure I could face hearing any of her songs again.
which always irritates me. so because you didn't listen/read/watch said person for over a decade you're a hypocrite for remembering their good qualities? i thought it was just what decent people do, when somebody dies you remember what they were good at.
although all the vocal trilling rather killed a lot of her music for me.
Still. This is how I'll remember her.
I've always liked her music and she'll be missed by many. A great shame.
thats fucking tragic, that is. i didnt follow her music nor her life, but yeah 48's far to young
thats a real shame.
Why didn't anyone see this coming and try to help her?
Can 't believe I'm not going to sub-consciously know every one of her lyrics by the end of next week. Now that's tragic.
Statement from Motown founder, Berry Gordy: "Whitney Houston was not only an amazing artist, but also a beautiful person. She was so smart and her knowledge and appreciation for the musical art form was remarkable. Every time we would see each other, we always had wonderful conversations about life and the business. I loved her very much. My heart goes out to her family, and her great friend, Clive Davis, those who knew her well and worked closely with her, and the world for losing such an incredible artist."
I'm calling you out
if you do
Really sad news.
Unfortunately, this is how I (and others, I'm sure) will remember her.
it is not how i will remember her :<
I'm guessing Lindsay Lohan
Wow some pompous shite is spouted when people mourn a dead celebrity. No, people may not know them personally and I'm not one Diana-itis but they FEEL like they know them. It's called empathy and it's what music and most culture should be all about.
It does not mean what you think it means.
wasn't my sort of music though
What a tragic way her life has ended :(
