How long would it take me to get from Dalston to Victoria on a Saturday night pleaseandthanks?
but as with every journey ever in London, leave an hour
The victoria line is down.
Trains are about every 15 mins from DK, so assuming you got one straight away, probably about 25-30 mins all in all.
and they're a bit more regular, every 8 mins or so.
When the tube's still running, only about 25 minutes, 20 if you get kucky with the connection.
Isn't there an app for this sort of thing?
basically I'm going to a gig at the nest but have the midnight coach booked back to bristol, so just weighing up my options now rather than at about 11pm next saturday when inebriated.
then get the number 38 bus (stops outside Dalston Junction station)which goes all the way to Victoria. During the day it can be very slow because of the traffic but at that time of night it'll only be about 35 minutes.
The Vistoria line is shut this weekend and the Overground runs until about 11.30.
Bus leaves Victoria at midnight.
I'm assuming that you mean the 11th. The Victoria Line and that part of the Overground are running that day.
Remember that the coach station at Victoria is a fair trek from the tube station though - allow 15 minutes extra at the end.
I'd leave the venue at about 11 as it's a five-ten minute walk to Dalston Kingsland. Make a note of the Westbound train times from there and Dalston Junction though as they are not as frequent as the tubes.
10 mins bus (stop on Crossway, 2 mins walk from The Nest), then 15 mins tube.
You're most likely the only person on the bus, and if you're lucky, the driver will think he's Lewis Hamilton and race towards his coffee break. The current record stands at 6 mins. Make sure to hold on tightly.
Mind you, last time I needed the 236 I waited over 20 minutes and one never came, and it wasn't even at night.
