so i can put off revising
Being a bit of a nobber.
Cons: most of the other stuff
Very naturally funny, but quite often in pretty weak films.
You know he was mooted to play Ignatius J Reilly in an adaptation of Confederacy of Dunces? I can see it working.
but eastbound and down is obviously the best thing he's been involved in
i think hes become one of those people who likes to improvise every line now and his films suffer for it cos no one will tell him its shit.
But now I think he's brilliant
The Other Guys (properly cried laughing in the cinema at that)
I laughed quite a bit - especially at the scene where he stabs himself in the leg.
watched it one hungover weekend. Absolutely pissed myself laughing.
auditing your parents :')
The opening with Samuel L Jackson and the Rock
The quiet fight at the funeral :'D
The bit where they keep getting bribed
Bad cop bad cop
Don't go chasing waterfalls guys
I'M A PEACOCK CAPTAIN YOU GOTTA LET ME FLY
Mostly I just love the fact that every line of dialogue Mark Wahlberg has is so unbelievably stupid, yet he totally deadpans it, and it takes you a couple of seconds to realise what he said
Con: he's just regurgitated that same character template since then.
Just my opinion though.
he did go on a little spell of just trying to do ron burgundy but not as well (semi-pro, talladaga nights) but i think he's out of that now
and have subsequently ignored his more interesting work as a result.
it's fucking brilliant
The Other Guys
Cons: He's spreading himself very thinly.
There's something wrong with the eyes.
Blades of Glory
ps, Anchorman was terrible
