At least the 10'ers aren't being all coy with that false-modesty knock-it-down-to-nine-when-really-we-know-it's-ten malarky.
not particularly fussed either way if i'm honest.
so I could be sacked in 5 minutes if need be.
...and on five days notice - however, I count this as being self-employed so rated mine as being 8/10 as I am my own boss. I guess it could be 10/10 but then again I am a bit of a cunt of a boss tbf.
then take yourself to a tribunal
Infinite money cheat!
In fact I might go tell myself what for right now...
it would definitely work in your best interest during the tribunal.
but you could also flounce out of any shit job whenever you felt it just 'wasn't working anymore'. It's not like that anymore unfortunately.
I enjoyed that particular brand of mercenary freedom.
...who have done this^. So long as you airbrush the role out of your CV, no one's the wiser.
worked at a food distribution centre for 3 hrs when I was a pup. had a spleedo at lunch and never went back
it's what i did, got this job without an interview as it looked like i'd done loads, when in fact all i did was learn what i could, immediately look for a better paying job as soon as the current one got boring, then left.
occasionally interspersed with just leaving a job as i didn't like it, it was too far away, the coffee wasn't that nice, didn't like the other staff, couldn't get online, it was a bit drafty in the office, etc, etc.
but I'm the one temp, at present, who has proper command of the english language. Not at all useful in a creamery but nonetheless my job is unnervingly secure.
When I started working here there was half as much work. They would be totally knackered without me know so even if I'm shit and turn up late every day I'm pretty much OK I reck
If he sacks me I can't pay the rent and it's in his name. Lovely stuff.
'yeh, not bad'
'what youget up to?'
'same as you'
0.625 to 0.7142857
and as there will always be
I'm a very secure 9
i work for the public sector and my department will probably be sold off within the next couple of years
and then god knows.
So as long as I can refrain from accidentally calling my boss really, really old (again) until then, I should be ok.
Mind you, someone in my position did get fired on the spot not long ago, and she was miles more likeable than me, so who knows.
But this place has a nasty predilection for taking people out of the job they like doing and moving them sideways into a job they hate doing. It's the organisation's way of saying they want you to fuck off, and it's apparently very effective. Hasn't happened to me, but I'm not ruling it out in the future.
I start monday and havent signed the contract yet.
at the moment it's probably realistically a 7, because injury/poor performance can bug me out. In 18 months time it's probably a 10 for a couple of years.
