but essentially yes.
and when he mocks people
jesus christ that was fucking hideous...top two youtube comments:
Make the f*cking politicians listen to this until they ALL admit that giving free money to chavs and toughening up on adoption laws was a? bad idea.

was an absolute flop, peaked at 120 or so despite loads of advertising.
It's weird though, because that's kind of the opposite to what I imagine Harry Hill is/ does. Quite disappointed actually.
even if it was just the exact same set of jokes every week.
Probably why I used to really like Mark & Lard too. Somehow the predictability of it all just made it so much funnier...
but then I saw the real Lagerfeld and he was funnier really. Apparently he has a solid gold ipad atm.
The Lion King on hot coals :)
I was just trawling YouTube for Al Lubel clips the other night and I saw a link to that Harry Hill one, and I thought "Ooh, Harry Hill on Letterman, that's interesting!" so I watched it and I thought it was funny so I linked it here.
I mean I know my attempt was poor but man
Hey one of Harry Hill's jokes is my go-to one when you have those annoying 'tell a joke or something' conversations.
What goes 99 thump?
An icecream man being mugged.
I saw him do stand up in about 94/95 which was brilliant. He had loads of threads whereas he'd talk about something for a little while, then move on then 20 minutes later there would be a punch line out of the blue, perfectly timed and delivered. One of the cleverest stand ups i've seen. I don't think I've explained that very well, which just shows how brilliant Harry is.
he is an increasingly rare example of a comic so good that he can make appeal to the masses and the critical minority at the same time.
I think it's the combination of substantial surreal madness with a populist outlook, endearing cartoonish whackiness and yes, repetition.
and that tells you everything you need to know, really
his 'you've been framed' work remains superb.
and those weird youtube clips he did with giant axes and mice and stuff
TV Burp is funny, but even then he still finds ways to try and seep his unfunniness into the show - the songs, the endless skits that aren't funny and go on for ages.
I will concede however that his work on You've Been Framed is sterling - probably because all he's allowed to do is talk over the top
but before she turns up, decorate a nursery room upstairs, crack the window open a few inches and tie a load of baby blankets together, hanging from the windowsill.
Then when she turns up say "Oh the baby's asleep at the moment but if you can check on her in a while".
Then when you get back home you shout "What do you MEAN the baby's escaped...oh well 50 quid should cover it."
stewart lee, helps to identify this when he raises the question of whether someone else could nick 'stuff'......gags and jokes can be nicked, but Harry Hill has made an act, like Tommy Cooper, Eric Morcombe, Al Murray, Stewart Lee, Paul Foot people can't really nick their stuff........even Joe Pasquale couldn't nick their stuff
And that ITV are going to get someone else in to do it?
It's going to be shit isn't it?
Guaranteed, and it'll be bollocks
the only person who has stolen a living off the back of someone else who has stolen a living off the back of someone else?
and make this his obituary
meet the claw hammer
ok, he doesnt have much talent, except that he is affable to all, and seems genuinely like an alright bloke, he is much preferable to vernon kaye and i really like his big paddy hugs to those men who get dumped by all girls, he is freindly to all, is that why you all hate him?
He lucked out and Im pissed off about it
He's a bit needy and annoying.
I'm a humourless vacuum of emotion, though - so he probably is funny.
