do you use the vortex method?
something something Michael J Fox
i remember laughing really hard at it.
bit of vinegar, get the water to the right temperature, use fresh eggs, drop them in. Easy.
I know people who do a vortex AND crack the egg into a bowl first then put it in the water from there and its fucking bullshit
I haven't watched it but it's probably good, he's Heston.
and put a plate in the bottom of the pan to avoid direct heat contact
beyond that I've forgotten, looked good though
then when I cracked it open, it was over-cooked :-(
£9.50 from M&S = incredible eggs
seriously. come over tomorrow and eat them.
she uses the vortex method.
I just fry or boil in the shell. Seems like far too much faff.
1. heat fry, add a little butter, crack eggs into pan, whack lid on top and cook until all egg white is cooked and yolks are still runny.
2. crack eggs into bowl and add some milk and a bit of S&P, whisk until eggs are beaten and slightly aerated, pour into hot pan and occasionally stir/fold eggs while they cook.
1. the old fry 'n' sweat
2. the old scramblin'
Similarily, I like to make risotto by throwing all of the rice out of the window then jumping up and down on it. Afterwards I get a bunch of different leaves and maybe some other stuff and put them all in a bowl with a little dressing, then I toss them all together: bob's your uncle, rissotto!
fuck the vortex
then crack the egg in and hope for the best
Sometimes I use cling film. Once I ran out of cling film and tried to use a sandwich bag. The glue melted and corrupted my egg.
I can't understand why you'd faff about using cling film and stuff, it's really not difficult at all to poach an egg.
Do the job as long as you remember to grease those mothers up real good.
