nothing can quite beat the whole reptilian business, although I'm quite fond of CHEMTRAILS
and that it was a Capricon One-style fake.
Brian Cox made a funny about them the other night, telling them to staop watching his show and turn over to ITV.
in 20 years time if they just went, 'only kidding guys! the moon! as if!'.
like when you dared the little kid to do something by pretending that everyone else in the group has already done it.
She just doesn't think it's possible. I've never really brought it up with her.
Is that some of the footage and pictures were either faked or tinkered with. Even that is at a push. They definitely went, even some of the most vehement landings-deniers now accept the USA went at some point, but are still questioning the very first moon landing only.
been reading a lot about chemtrails recently. proper mentalists.
I remember finding this one particularly amusing:
Read their forum here: http://www.theflatearthsociety.org/forum/index.php
Hard to tell if they are taking the piss or not. People are asking questions and they are answering - just proves you can avoid any factual argument by claiming there is a worldwide conspiracy covering everything up. A conspiracy we are a part of by believing it obviously. And a conspiracy that can't take down a shitty website.
some of the comments on one of the diagrams are amazing!
Eclipses, polar explorers, astronomical readings, how planes manage to go round the earth, pictures of earth - the lot. It is quite amusing seeing how the round earthers are getting more exasperated at them, definitely a load of trolls.
fantastic explanation under the picture:
'Is this an acceptable picture of the Flat Earth model of the universe? Anything too big? Too small? Should Antarctica even be there?
The Sun and Moon are both 16x their supposed size because you'd almost not be able to see them if they're only 32 miles in diameter. Their trails are not concentric so the two can be differentiated.
It's not complete yet. I don't like the way the sun shines, but it 's very difficult to get a small lightsource so close to ground to illuminate half of the Earth's area properly. The earth disc has almost no thickness right now. There are no stars, no sky-dome, and I think I'm also forgetting something important...
Oh and a 150ft wall around the perimeter is impossible to see at this scale.'
''I've decided that you're a government shill, spreading lies and discontent in the ranks of the beievers, and thus anything you say is invalid. "Friends" flying from Australia to Africa through "Antarctica", psssh, your imaginary words don't fool me.''

JFK not being killed by the unstable guy who worked in the building and floor where the shots were fired from, was unaccounted for during the killing, had previously tried to to murder a general with the same rifle, and murdered a police officer later that day in full view of numerous eye-witnesses and was arrested with that murder weapon after hiding in a cinema? *
*facts referred should be generally be correct, but I don't have time to read everything just now, and am willing to bow to superior knowledge and corrections
is that it hinges on the people carrying it out being brilliant trained, skilled operatives who had everything covered to the last detail except
a) they forgot to consider whether or not guns could be fired from a particular angle and still hit the target consistently.
b) they forgot to check whether the gun alleged to have done it could have fired three bullets in the appropriate times.
Which are both pretty basic.
Back and to the left
hey whatho do you beleve in teh man on the grasy knoll?
1. the conspirators chose to kill JFK in that place, and by a complete coincidence, a dodgy guy was working in the same building and upon seeing the murder freaked out, fearing he'd be blamed, killed a cop and ran into a cinema
2. Oswald did it by himself. I've seen some convincing-sounding documentaries claiming "back and to the left" fits with Oswald shooting from behind, although to a layperson it might look like the shot came from the front, but I'm not an expert on that.
3. there were several shooters, in different positions around the place. trying to kill the president in front of a huge crowd. (Even though they could have just had one shooter in the floor Oswald was in, as shown in the Oliver Stone film, the shooter could have more easily done the deed before the car turned a corner and was heading away from the location)
the conspirators decided to go ahead, even though chances are some of the people there would have noticed that the shots came from different places and there was a risk of someone filming the whole thing . . . In any case, the conspirators decided to pin it all on one guy allegedly shooting from one place, and hoped that nobody would notice (Oswald being one the shooters, in on it otherwise, or set up, depending on the variation).
If Oswald was recruited to be one of the shooters, they decided to trust on a guy who had defected to Russia and back, was a bit unstable, and had previously tried to kill someone using the same gun he took from home with him to this mission and had a job in the building the crime took place in.
If Oswald was set up to be the scapegoat, they let him wander around apparently freely, they either killed a cop and framed it on Oswald (Because being suspected for the killing the President of the United States might not be enough) or allowed him to run off, hoping he'd be caught eventually and not say too much.
I have seen an interview with a police expert in homicides (actual title: no idea) which says that you would expect a head to travel back away from the direction the bullet is coming from. However in reality it isn't that simple, the body reacts to it, muscles contract and the shockwaves can cause the opposite to happen.
and my (now dead) friend and I would regale each other with the increasingly bizarre tales of world spiders, underground races of lizard people, the various illuminati variations, etc, etc.
Unfortunately, at around the time of the Iraq invasions, this friend was in the midst of a quite heavy period of introspection (his missus was diagnosed with MS) and an heavier period of hallucinogenic 'use'. I always assumed that our conspiracy trumps was a game, and didn't and still don't buy any of the tales I've heard.
But he did. The last evening my ex and I spent in his company was very very odd. He had become quite unhinged and had spent some time weaving many of these conspiracies together, he was a clever and very well read man, and had noted patterns in these tales, layering various conspiracies together into as coherent a tale as you could, given enough time, burgeoning mental health issues and narcotics.
My favourite bit, was when he linked the mayan end of days world spider myth (the Fifth Sign: The land shall be criss-crossed by a giant spider's web.) to the world wide web.
"WEBS! DON@T YOU SEE THE CONNECTION! WE ARE ALL IN THE WEB!"
To him, everything pointed to the total collapse of global society, the end days beginning, the first trumpet call.
I kind of miss him. But he did brutally murder his wife, which I can't really forgive him for.
And as soon as that slightly odd discrepancy is accounted for, they move onto the next one. And so on. I mean how can they genuinely think, despite all the eye witness accounts and evidence, that no plane crashed into the Pentagon just because the crucial milliseconds of the camera footage are missing and the debris looks like it was a bit too neat and scattered?. It all now seems to be hinging on one of the other world trade buildings collapsing somehow proving all the others were blown up. With the help of a few renegade demolitions experts (who probably have only dealt with demolishing houses and industrian chimneys) chucking their oars in.
When drunk, he would repeatedly tell you his honest held belief that AIDS was a biological weapon made in a lab in the US to suppress Africa, and more widely, *the black man*.
Haven't seen him in a while as he quit the club claiming we were instituionally racist because he played on the wing
and that the microchip is alien technology that landed in the Roswell Incident and got back-engineered
anyone ever heard this one??
That an electric fan chops up all the air particles in the air leaving none to breathe
Jim Corr from The Corr's website
It looked like a monk with a shaved head and no face
written by some guy who had managed to weave together crop circles, grey aliens, freemasons, the Illuminati, Atlantis, etc etc AND New Age Californian-dipshit mysticism into one massive unified conspiracy theory. It was ace. He was clearly so chuffed that he'd cracked the whole thing, in terms of tone it was probably the chirpiest book I'd ever read.
We had a couple of his books from the 1970s in our house when I was growing up.
It was called something like Everything In This Book Is Made Up But It's All True, or a phrase to that effect.
Von Daniken believed that the gods we worship today were extra-terrestrial visitors from outer space who came here thousands of years ago.
Didn't it say the halos on stained glass windows on saints are actually their space hemets so they could breathe in our atmosphere?
There were sections all about Mayan sculptures and inscriptions that show men in flying machines, with the mechanics shown. eg: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/2/29/Pacal_the_Great_tomb_lid.svg/360px-Pacal_the_Great_tomb_lid.svg.png
Turns out that Von Daniken made up a lot of his evidence, but some of his concerns around the closed-shop and personality cult of Egyptology are actually pretty reasonable. Similar things were raised by Graham Hancock, who believes that the pyramids are several thousand years older than estimated, based upon alignments with stars and the processional movement of the earth (the wobble in the earth's axis).
have you got a link or something about it? I did quite a lot of it at uni and I'd be interested to read his critisms, if they're pretty sensib;e. I've had a google but can;t find anything detailed.
Hancock's book is probably a bit more relevant as it was written nearly thrity years later.
Hancock devotes a large part of his book to criticising Zahi Hawass and the kingdom that he has carved out for himself, suppressing research and further exploration, especially regarding the unsurveyed chambers in the pyramids.
Lots of stuff about Divine Geometry and how humans were created by 7th-dimensional beings BUT how it all ties in with the Bible anyway.
Completely batshit, but quite a good bogside book I thought.
about religion and extra terrestrials. One of them was called chariot of the gods - theres some really good explanations about how the bible is just aliens fucking about. Hes probably the most intelligent person Ive ever met, but I think he has never really stopped believing this stuff, which is weird.
I read them about 15 years ago so cant remember, knew the name but didnt think it was him. Wikipedia confirms this. Might dig it out

I had been interested in finding a cure for infertility problems since a work colleague had been having problems conceiving due to blocked fallopian tubes. I was with a girl friend, and we thought it would be worthwhile to see if it was feasible to unblock fallopian tubes. When we entered the womb via the cervix, which had to be done very slowly we found that the womb needs lubricating to avoid immense pain. However, this problem was overcome by orgasm. Orgasm provided enough lubricant to make the womb pain free. We found that the womb was also sensual and could achieve orgasm.
At this point I would like to explain the difference between a stun and a punch. With the Kadir-Buxton Method, a patient standing on one leg whilst holding a rose would still be standing on one leg and holding a rose when they were cured. With a punch, the patient would be lying prone on the floor, and could well have dropped the rose. And just to add insult to injury, they would still be mentally ill. Try it for yourselves if you do not believe me.
Anyone got a few minutes? And a rose?
of people duped.
It's nice to see so many Physics experts in one thread.
