Aereopress + Taylors Hot Lava Java = wonder
How do you make yours?
I think I drink them all the time but I'm not sure. Is it just a double espresso with the same amount of hot water? Because thats what I drink.
What's it like?
In the mocha pot, on the hob, bliss.
Currently rocking some Java from the covered market in Oxford. Black, one sugar, thanks.
That shop is AMAZING.
I've tried the Colombian, Brazillian Blend and the Java. WHAT NEXT??
JAMAICAN BLUE MOUNTAIN!
i'm really enjoying it, great little invention
I am making excellent coffee now. Two scoops, half fill the thing, do it upside down cos my friend mantains it's better. Still haven't found me favourite beans though. Someone recommend some beans!
Think maybe I'm not grinding finely enough
My grinder thing has a dial going from 7 o'clock to 5 (fine to coarse) and I have it on about 11 and it's spot on. This is after spending all of Christmas day messing on and making coffee that tasted like a shit Mellow Birds.
i tried a couple of different things but hot lava java is really hitting the spot, smells phenomenal too
my only qualm with the aeropress is it uses quite a lot of ground coffee to get results
I'm piling through the beans now.
Maybe it would be easier if I had my aeropress to hand.
but something they don't tell you is make sure the plunger is down far enough. Cos when you turn it upside down all the hot air goes to the top and expands a bit and a bit of hot coffee come out and just misses your face.
so broke out the moka pot last week for the first time. Exceptional coffee. It's a very old aluminium one so I'm on the look out for a good stainless steel one now.
tesco coffee (spoonful) - into mug. Add boiling water, milk and one sugar. Drink.
I just get Taylor Street to make mine. I've been busy lately and so am nailing the coffee hard this week. today I'm having a long black, as usual. Meow, you're right, it's a double shot topped up with hot water. It's a bit like an americano, but it's made slightly differently so as to be a bit frothier (an americano being a very dull frothless drink.) I still prefer tea though chaps. OMG jasmine tea <3
Yeah that's right, this is the backlash.
Ah what do I care, I like coffee too.
NO MILK, NO SUGAR
step 2: order soy latte ( i KNOW but i'm allergic to milk ok)
step 3: OM NOM NOM
best coffee i can find in the west end :)
there's one in bruntsfield about 5 minutes from my house <3 yum yum yum!
I have a moka pot but my results seem really variable.
I had a gifset of different coffees from whitbreads. That was awesome. Now I just have morrisons. Any suggestions for good coffees to try?
couple of mocha tips
a) don't stuff the coffee in. press it gently and try and make a cone shape with the grind
b) leave the lid off during the heating process. put lid down when that shit is starting to ooze out
Have been enjoying this coffee recently: http://www.grumpymule.co.uk/shop/coffees/all-coffees/panama-hacienda-la-esmeralda
