to the most beautiful sunrise ever. Like, the sky was pink
A red sky at night tends to mean that it will be settled the next day.
so probably approaching
red sky at night = potential storm clouds to the east, so probably moving away
...red sky in the morning, BARN'S ON FIRE!!!
Shepherds barn on fire
And the skies always had little fluffy clouds in 'em, and, they were long and clear and there were lots of stars at night. And when it would rain they were beautiful. The most beautiful skies as a matter of fact. The sunsets were purple and red and yellow and on fire, and the clouds would catch the colours everywhere. I used to look at them all the time when I was little.
You might still see them in the desert.
Only for thread titles.
but it would have to be Machu Picchu appearing out of the morning mist.
cantona's goal vs sunderland
Guys - this is the correct answer.

The Northern Lights in Minneapolis. I went to get my dad so he could see them, and walked in on him pissing in the sink. Kinda ruined the moment.
Or maybe those c-beams that glitter in the dark near the Tanhauser Gate.
this isn't it, but it's an interesting view from the stand of a similar move:
Going to (hopefully) see the northern lights in Iceland in March so (hopefully) that will be good.

Around sunset/sunrise/nighttime. It goes over a bridge on the Seine. It's nice to remind you that you're in Paris, and that Paris is beautiful.

the moon scudding on a sea of clouds
it was when the moon was nearly new (just a slight sliver and I was on the moor,
and I could see the 'slight' cloud layer, then I could see the planes at a higher layer, then the meteors at a higher layer, then the satelites at a further layer, then the moon at a further layer then all the stars.....it was like looking through a window of the atmosphere and seeing things at different distances and having that as a perspective, it was great, It was the way of looking at it that made ir beautiful.
ALso as previously mentioned the full moon sailing on scudding clouds (on the moor) also just star gazing from the pennines
Smoking a big doob, washing it down with rum whilst listening to mozart wi ma pals in Cienfuegos.

Montreux in general. But specifically the riverside. The weather system is weird there, and I remember sitting on a rock on the shore drinking a cold beer in the summer while the jazz festival was on. Out on the lake there was a lighting storm, and I was sat getting a tan in the sunshine.
God it makes me want to be back there more than anything.
The view ain't that great during a 69.

and he stopped the car, picked up the ladybird and went outside to put it on a leaf.
He fed it salt and vinegar crisps. They're supposed to die dead fast but this one was alive forever.
This scientifically proves salt and vinegar crisps are good for you/give ladybirds mutant jesus powers.
After Bestival. It was a really long Pier and it was just really surreal and you could see Portsmouth in the distance and it was just really beautiful. Maybe it's cos I was so tired and weepy.
Ryde is a dump.
The Pier was lovely.
If there's an Official DiS Birdwatching Expedition (Bamos?) count me in

So many stars.
Or a massive pair of wazzers

Carl Sagan's pale blue dot

it was in my native country which i had visited for the first time and it was so beautiful. also normally i'm one of those twats who's almost always carrying a camera and end up occupied with taking pictures to keep forever rather than enjoying the moment. but that time i'd rushed up to see the storm with nothing and was able to enjoy it properly
When I was up Ben Nevis in the middle of a cloud
ALL THE NAKED GURLS
after ingesting mushrooms.
There's loads of things. Alot of them are beautiful but they're beautiful in their own way.
I hate this sort of reductionism. How can you 'poll'' beauty?
I pick: two middle aged ladies having a snowball fight outside of Tescos last January. It was lovely.
for some reason, this answer is weirdly the most evocative.
Erm... the night sky in New Zealand. It was full of stars, free of light pollution and back to front.
Mount Fuji appearing out of the mist as the sun rose when I was stood on a beach at 5am with my camera.
Duncan Jupp's goal celebration after scoring the second goal in the play off Final. He'd never scored before and just had no idea what to do. Spectacular.

My girlfriend at the airport after 5 months of separation.
The moon over the granite quarry at Halibut Point in Rockport, Massachusetts
no, I'm serious, the most fantastic vagina ever. Better than the Anne Klein model I once knew. But so much better. Anne Klein model, you know, she'd been around...
2. I saw a tornado lift a garage off the ground from my apartment window. Most astonding thing I've ever seen! Except for perfect vagina, obv.
Well, your own anyway, never seen anyone else's so new. I fell in love with mine straight away, and it's very much like romantic love, except it's more intense because they're so fucking absolutely reliant on you just to survive. Obviously their mum really more than me, but I would have to manage at a pinch.
Anyway, didn't mean to get sidetracked by that, one of the most beautiful things I've seen before all that was climbing the foothills of the Himalayas and you've got the bigarse fair dinkum Himalayas in front of you, but if you turn around the plains of India laid out before you like a beautiful tablecloth.
Even without all the hash I reckon that was beautiful.
That level in Halo:Reach when you're piloting the chopper trying to evacuate New Alexandria at night time, whilst the Covenant is glassing the surface of the planet in the distance.
