it was bought for making sausage rolls but is too lean.
anyone got any tasty recipe ideas for pork mince?
end of thread
then you're all set.
burgers is a good idea actually. i got some roasted garlic and shallot burger paste in a home-made hamper from my nan this christmas so could use that...
or fry up some leeks, i like pork and leek
but they add good flavour to pies or if mixed up with cabbage and sauted with garlic and bacon and butter mmmm
http://www.galaxylink.net/~john/food/cooking/sichuan/mayishangshu.htm it tastes really good as it has chilli and soy sauce in it but its also called ants climbing up the trees! I also add some chopped up peanuts for texture.
pig out of it
just mix it with a load of fish sauce, chilli, garlic, fresh coriander, holy basil, lemongrass and lime juice. well good
whop them in a bit of tomato sauce (fry off some onion, garlic, celery and red chili then add tinned tomatoes and reduce) with spaghetti - yum
i've never done it (apart from the tomato sauce and spaghetti bit) but it sounds pretty delicious to me!
with loads of griddled veg and tomato sauce and loads of cheese
Lorraine Pascale has a good recipe on her show for it.
it;s too lean, needs more fat for more flavour
wear it, and ask my girlfriend to slowly eat it whilst we made love.
This would be deeply erotic. If only i had a girlfriend (and some pork mince.)
ut dont have the right equipment at the moment :(
All you need really is won ton wrappers!
It's called stir fried pork in lettuce cups and is just beautiful and I actually have a copy of the recipe here. I use it as one of my meals when doing a medium protein phase of my diet in weight training.
- Pork mince
- Iceberg lettuce
- 100g soba noodles
- 2tsp olive oil
- 3 spring onions
- 2 tsp grated ginger (I tend to use a little more)
- 2tsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 diced red pepper
- handful of bean sprouts
- handful coriander leaves
Method - Brown pork in pan or wok, then add all the ingredients, except the red pepper, coriander and bean sprouts. Once cooked, add the rest of the ingredients and serve inside a lettuce leaf.
So basically I peel the outter most 2 leaves from the iceberg lettuce and create a kind of bowl/cup and then load the stuff into there once cooked. It's amazing.
but doesn't the lettuce wilt and go a bit slimy quite quickly?
especially as the outer part to the iceberg lettuce is usually thicker. It works, trust me.
I didn't say if it was good or bad....it's a good smell obviously....;)
Naturally i was joking about everything anyway, I didn't sniff you.
I have them too when I'm proteining/ on one of my size zero binges.
Get some beef mince as well and go half and half - yum.
