Got it for Christmas and watched it last night.
Head. Fuck. But great stuff.
when the new beverly cinema (the most famous repertory cinema in the world) screened it earlier this year they programmed it in a double bill with primer. with itself. so people could watch it, think about it in the intermission, then watch it again.
but no problem
First I heard it was about topiary. Then about kids who discover human Ninteno Miis. Come on Carruth, give us a clue!
Show's Upstream Colour next year and Topiary the year after.
understanding it second time round. No luck. I've got tickets for Upstream Colour next week. Looking forward to it.
I needed to look at the timeline afterwards to push my understanding of the plot above, say, 60%, though
I thought it was also particularly impressive given that it was Shane Carruth's debut and he also acted and composed the incidental music.
Quite looking forward to the sequel if it comes to fruition, it'd be interesting to see what could happen if Carruth is given more of a budget to work with.
i'm gonna watch it again.
Other recent time travel headscratchers: Cronocrimenes.
midnight on Film4.
just thought i'd mention it given there are so many fanboys on here.
This film continues to proper do my nut in with every rewatch.
Any of the LME want to start building mass condensers in garages?
