The Steam Sale
Have any of you bought anything?
My friend bought this http://store.steampowered.com/app/98200/ and gave me the free copy, it's so so so good.
The valve complete pack is £25, which is mad cheap.

Football Manager 2012 is hella cheap on there at the minute
It's real good y'all
every time I've tried to sign up for an account with Steam it gives me some kind of error
PROBABLY for the best
this is
even more likely to happen while the sales are on.
todays deals just went up
nothing too interesting looking, except crysis 2, if you want that.
Bastion looks pretty good and has a high score on metacritic
hmm
I've just picked this up
I've heard very good things.
Didn't see that
it's excellent, but probably not as good without a wired xbox controller.
All the worms games are 75% off too
and if anyone wants to trade anything I have a 50% off valve games voucher and a 66% off two words 2 (or something)
No it's got all the 2d ones too.
and pinball.
Problem with the Valve pack
Is that I bought the Orange Box when it was released, and that has basically every Valve game worth owning in it. And of course I got Portal 2 when it was new.
Bought Space Marine when it was discounted, all those bulky armoured men give me nerdy boners.
Yeah, that's the thing about the valve pack
but for someone who'd not played a valve game before it's ridicolous value.
guys more importantly
you can buy XCOM: Enemy Unknown for like £1!!!!!
I wish i had a computer that could run steam stuff :(
out of the daily deals i've bought
Bastion, Borderlands, Bulletstorm, Metro 2033 and the You Monster DLC for Defense Grid. Total - £21.10.
oh and Sol Survivor
Frozen Synapse
was a Humble Bundle not long ago so you could've got it for free if you're that stingy (or donated to charity)... I expect it will be added to another bundle soon as they tend to repeat stuff.
The current deal lasts another seven hours. Check it oot. I've been buying the shit out of them.

I've just realised that my all time favourite multiplayer game is in the sale
and comes with 2 free copies to gift your friends, and those 2 free copies come with another free copy each for your friends to give away.
It’s basically where the new assassins creed games ripped their multiplayer form, you’re on a 1940s style cruise ship with a load of other people, and each round you have someone to kill, and someone is trying to kill you (but you don’t know who), you get their name and an update of where they are every 30 seconds, and you have to go find them and kill them without anyone seeing you, and stop yourself from being killed by whoever is after you, weapons are all dotted around the map in cupboards and stuff and include things like croquet mallets and manequin arms, as well as a few guns (not many).
I honestly cannot praise this game enough, it'd be worth the money without all the free copies.
It's so much fun
hopefully this thing they're doing will get the community back up and going, though there are some groups which play most nights anyway. I re-downloaded it when I saw this thing they're doing and I'm super excited to play it again.
What's it called?
Can't believe I didn't say, I was supposed ot put a link, must have forgotton
it's called the ship.
Aw man, I'd forgotton how good this is
we should have a DiS match.
I could probably blag a free copy off someone that would = 2 free copies for DiS people.
the second one is a massive leap
I've used this Steam sale to get it and it's much better! The story is stronger, the missions are more interesting and varied, there's a truck load of stuff to do outside of the main plot. Your character is more interesting too.
I'm not much a gamer at all, but I'm loving Assassin's Creed II.
I got Brotherhood last sale
and have played it for 33 minutes according to my Steam library.
Steam sales are always dangerous for me
I buy games that I know I'll never really have time to play properly just because they're good games at great prices.
oof this is not good in a dissertation year
Portal 2, Crysis...
Picked up this one last night
http://store.steampowered.com/sub/13063/
Will probably take me all of next year to go through them but at that price I couldn't resist.
