What you up to today? I'm about to slap on some fake tan then brave the shops for gifts galore Xx
into my toast because it is soggy due to condensation and my tears will just add a bitter irony to this brunch flavoured tragedy.
Just whacking it down on a plate while it's hot is the condensation culprit.
I do not have the patience, or the kitchen ware, to deal with toast racks though.
Just prop two slices up against each other like a stack of cards. My dad does this all the time and now I do it as I like crispy toast.
i'm learning the german prepositional objects.
It is currently simmering away - contains potato, leek, chicken and broccoli (plus obligatory chili, spices, herbs, etc). I'm looking forward to it.
Asides from that, doing a bit more work on my dissertation and have cricket training this evening.
And some brocolli soup sounds like a bloody good idea for the turn of weather we've had recently. You've inspired me \:D/
i'm using it RIGHT NOW. To look at the British Election Study 2010. Exciting stuff.
Ask me a question about politics and i'll see if i can answer it. (example- who thinks black people are nicer, men or women?)
women, by about 5%
We had a statistics module in the first year, I was about the only one in the group who could actually use it, earned myself £15 a week by selling my answers to people :D
Need to use it myself over Christmas to analyse my data.
it's pretty easy to understand. There are a few things i want to do though and i dunno if you can. Like, the age section is way too big, so when i do a table it comes up with individual results for all ages up to 100. I want to cluster them so its like 18-25, 26-35 etc. Can I do that?. Also same thing goes for income brackets and the like.
you're statistically more likely to be a big racist and want to send asylum seekers home immediately if you're part of a trade union. You're statistically least likely to be a big racist if you're part of a staff association.
I have no idea what a staff association is.
send asylum seekers home immediately if you're part of a trade union."-if true, this is pretty sad (it also reads like utter Daily Mail bullshit, but who am I to argue with the Stats?).
unions want to protect their workforce and foreign, ununionised labour on the cheap must be a pretty big threat
Xenophobic, possibly-and it's unfortunate that people would conflate foreign companies with "Foreigns" in general, but as far as I'm aware there aren't any trade unions operating under a "whites only" policy.
and it's a pretty wide scale really, from wanting to kick out undocumenteds to burning them at a cross or whatever,
as to the second part, i never claimed that at all so, you know.
that's what the stats were on.
Isn't it just as likely that trade unionists might be opposed to the exploitative working conditions of those employed as cheap migrant labour, and that their desire to curb illegal immigration stems from this?
the world's a pretty complex place
I've heard friends say they will "always" support a union in an instance of a labour disagreement, normally throwing out a comment about the long history of worker suppression as support for this, even though it completely ignores that unions can be and often are as corrupt and self-serving as the companies they're fighting against.
There are certainly often problems with the way unions operate, but I still find the implication that racism is somehow endemic to trade unionism pretty troublesome.
send them back to their own country, where they can live a totally unexploited life... for a few days, before they're brutally tortured and killled........
of why someone would be against migrant workers. Keep that attitude up and you'll be happy in no time
'cause y'know I admit that I don't know everything there is to know on this matter, and I'm trying to find out more and have a well reasoned discussion instead of jumping to conclusions and labeling people "massive racists".
I wouldn't be able to tell you how without having a play with it though - haven't used it for about a year.
There's certainly an option to filter various aspects of the data set though...
i'll have another look
so I can see hot Snakes tonight. Got a feeling I'm gonna miss it though, bah.
read some fiction
eat some instant noodle soup stuff I bought from an asian supermarket

About to pop out for a ginger beer and a Wispa Gold.
It is very likely that this will be the high point of my day
We spent too long just laying around in bed so I'm really sleepy and can't focus without my glasses on. Thinking about popping off the train at stratford to grab a coffee.
Run tonight followed by pasta, washing clothes, x factor, black mirror and making more decorations. Life is ace.
