Strokes are really creepy aren't they
I'm really scared of having a stroke. Listen to this radio host unable to get his words out. Must've been terrifying:

terrifying
This is ridiculous! I don't know what is wrong with me I am totally BLUBBER
Apparently he was alright and recovered which is nice.
I would be so scared if that was happening to me.
Have you ever had Sleep Paralysis?
That is also really creepy/scary.
Sleep Paralysis is one of the worst experiences I've ever had
Genuinely terrifying. I was fully conscious for a minute or so before being able to move any part of my body.
The bassist is pretty creepy anyway.

Really though, a guy in my training class at work had a stroke last week
on either Thursday night or Friday morning, but he lived alone so no found him until Saturday, so he's quite a bad way. Completely paralysed apparently, and it'll be a couple of weeks until they can assess what kind of recovery he'll make. Horrible stuff.
:o
Fun fact: Jeff Garlin had a stroke shortly before the first series of Curb Your Enthusiasm.
In parts of the first episode his speech is really slurred as a result. Obviously he made a full recovery, which is nice.
not really 'fun'

Yeah, I know.
Was walking through the warehouse in work a couple of weeks ago, and saw one of the guys sat down, holding his belly. I walked over to jokingly ask him if he'd shit himself, but when he looked up his face was all droopy down the one side, and he couldn't speak properly. He was having a stroke. Don't think I've ever panicked so much in my life. I phoned for an ambulance, then phoned nearly everyone in my phone making sure that the ambulance would be able to get on site, all the time trying to reassure him that he'd be ok.
Wouldn't like to go through anything like that again any time soon.
He wasn't holding his belly btw, he was holding his arm in his lap.
He's back in work now. He's a bit deaf in one ear, but otherwise recovered fully.
ctrl+f 'Nikolai'
