i was a child in the 90s but had two older brothers. probably affected tastes:
narrated by terry wogan
well forgotten... brilliant might be going a bit far.
it's not aged particularly well though has it
in which case, it fits the bill like a dream.
A cartoon about a family of rats having unusual adventures... co-written and voiced by Spike Milligan.
these guys, the neat guys, flowing and streetwise
Those Marmalade Atkins things (what's up cock?)
Will O' the Wisp
There's a million of these on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBxYP_cF1no&feature=related
And a great series called Juppon Anime which is basically the adventures of 10 sticks, just incredibly inventive and beautifully done. Similar: a little geometric dog called Framy (coz, like, he's made up of frames). Vids of these get posted online from time to time, but don't stay around for long.
When in Japan, make sure if you're getting up around 8.00 am to watch the kids TV, it's fucking ace and also a good way to hear some simple entry-level spoken Japanese.
is children's television at its finest: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PpnZPM99JSM
It was the epitome of how second rate ITV’s kids shows were(Knightmare and Fun House aside)
Surely that gives it a free pass?
Either way it sucked balls
You're basically hating on the disabled. Why don't you go tip over someone's wheelchair, huh? Not cool enough for you?
Some of my best friends and deaf and wheelchair bound.
And every one of the despised Zzzap.
Awesome stuff, my father claims that I would interpret what they were saying for him.
Sorry, I'm at work so no links.
My first crush as a child* was on the sister out of this. A few years ago, I looked her up on Wikipedia (basically check if she grew up to be a hottie) and it turned out she had this tragic life and died just as she got her shit together. Until looking it up I had never even realised she was the same actor who played Marmalade Adkins (a later crush)!
"In 1987 Coleman's then boyfriend Jonathan Laycock died as the result of a cycling accident; he was 23 years old. After his death Charlotte went through periods of depression, and developed the eating disorders anorexia and bulimia; she also attended AA meetings because "she couldn't bear being with all those fat people at Overeaters Anonymous". Later she began to use crack."
Like Art Attack but presented by two crusties who look like they'd come straight from Glastonbury. Brilliant.
or the one which had michael jordan and a couple other athletes as a super hero team?
Also I was trying to tell someone the other day about Hammer man cartoon they looked at me like I was on acid:
In a dark dark something-or-other, etc...
Loved watching this on a Sunday afternoon
The boy who lost his laugh
No one EVER remembers this. Channel Four programme for kids - depressing and downbeat. I've just watch an episode and it sounds as if Dr David Starkey is narrating it.
Ideal for Emo's and people suffering OCD.
