i simply refuse to believe there's a big enough market for this type of enterprise to be financially viable
Since the tribute was formed, Kazabian have toured the UK & Europe extensively playing shows with Ollie Murs, The Noisettes, Pendulum and The Pigeon Detectives.
someone on my new department is in an Oasis covers band and they get paid about £500 a night. They played NEVILLE LONGBOTTOMS* birthday party (in Leeds I think). Its viable, but incredibly depressing he said. *I think thats the characters name. I want to start a weezer covers band.
They were playing in Liverpool when I got off the train.
They sound a bit like Kasabian.
I used to be in a Weezer covers band. Moved away so had to leave but going to be rejoining them for a couple of encore songs in December.
we never got paid, just played mates' (and mates of mates') birthdays etc.
There's two proper words they could go at there, yet they chose the preposition.
...nice work lads - exactly the words I'd choose to describe the music of The Stereophonics.
Europe's number 1 Freddie Mercury tribute act.
i'll start my industrial tribute to mansun, known as MARILYN MANSUN
I reckon they had a bigger crowd at their gig than my band.
The heavy metal Bee-Gees tribute band? Sheer brilliance.
I used to be in an Abba tribute band. I am not telling you what is was called. (For the avoidance of doubt, it was not 'Swede Dreamz'.)
Also saw Led Zeppalike too.
