Tuesday Morning Thread and I'm struggling to get out of bed.
Good morning people of DIS - How is y'all etc
At 3:30 in the afternoon, staring at my computer screen doing boring office work.
And I look out the window and it looks like an absolutely beautiful day out there. In fact I know it is because I went out at lunchtime.
Will leave an hour so maybe I should have a cup of tea now.
I'm just getting a blue screen. What aspect of the global revolution does it purport to show?
they're also arresting and injuring peaceful protesters
classy NYPD, classy
(can't remember which). Police roll in at 5 in the morning when there's no tv cameras around to catch some footage of cops busting heads.
The grinder that came free with my coffee machine outlasted the actual coffee machine. Krups, too, allegedly a good brand. However, largely responsible for World War I so I probably shouldn't be supporting them.
Oddly enough though, it was during an aborted move to Melbourne that I abandoned the Krups to my friend I'd been staying with to engage in battle when i returned to Perth.
Girlfriends kids have woken me up, little shits. Gonna have some toast then kip when they head off to school
I would be overjoyed if my kids waited until, say, 7am to wake me up. Pretty sure it was a 5.15 start this morning.
How old are they?
Nearly 3 and 5. There's also a two-month old, but he's pretty benign really - chuck him to Mrs M for the boob and he's happy.
My upstairs neighbours flooded my flat last night which was nice of them; they didn't get home til half 9 so i spent the evening strategically placing buckets and pans waiting for them to turn their water off.
Seeing Summer Camp in Oxford tonight then my first day off in 4 months tomorrow
the quiz results will be the highlight of my working day
Because I finished 8th in the Scottish 3rd division in Sharp_Yet_Blunt's assessment after his quiz thingy last week.
Anyway, the 8th placed team in Scottish 3rd division is Montrose and I looked up their results on the weekend and they came back from being down 0-4 early in the second half to tie the game 4-4.
Eight goals in a soccer game is pretty good, eh? That's my usual complaint about the game, people saying "Brilliant game." "Yeah, what was the final score?" "Nil-nil".
Anyway just thought I'd share that with you all.
Some of them did alright for themselves. Some were shit even for Montrose. Its good to see that after 8 years they are still struggling.
I joined their forum the other day and they had quite a few international fans who had adopted them from a computer game.
We need a better goalkeeper apparently. I got faith, we'll be in Division 2 in a couple of years.
knew i shouldnt have accepted their friend request.
going to see the damned tonight. Ive literally NEVER heard the damned. Got a complaint from a neighbour about how loud Skyrim was last night. It killed the atmosphere
Its nice to get out, anyway
Except it turned out that the promoter was completely full of shit and had nothing to do with the gig.
Go me in the quiz!
busy. Going home. Will do some more work tonight, but at least I can relax a bit on the commute home.
Life's a bit wrong when you can call your commute your time of relaxation.
gotta do useful stuff today and then the antlers tonight.
I thought I'd feel better today. I don't. :(
I need something to do that doesn't require moving much please?
And is it something you can do alone?
But it sounds like an insult, so I'm massively behind it.
She's sat next to me. Yesterday I could feel myself getting ill just being close to her. Then she went to throw up and went home. I came in today feeling better, but she's back, and stinks of Vicks. I wish she'd piss off again, I really don't want to be ill this week.
Colds are for the weak. Hardcore chest infections are where it's at.
I can't help being weak.
I think its flu though. ACHES. SICK. STUFF.
JUST BOUGHT ARKHAM CITY, UNCHARTED 3 AND SKYRIM. What a world. Awaiting a reply from Sony about repair today.
What an amazing bird. Just hopping about my garden, checking it out and looking incredible.
Everything's coming up Milhouse.
I need someone to tell me why it's so good
it's probably better than a 1s as well but my maths isn't so good
There is a man. Do you know what the man is doing? Very loudly with a chainsaw...
Actually I just assumed he was cutting down some trees I better go check he isn't chopping up his latest victim.
Time for some loud music to drown him out. Break out the earphones.
I came home yesterday at about 11 as I could hardly breathe and felt sicky and everyone in work kept telling me how rough I look.
I have to work from home today in order to get paid....I don't want to work.
you can do all your days work in far less time than you normally do as you don't have to spread it out over 8 hours, thereby freeing up the time you would normally spend fannying about on the internet pretending to work for other more worthwhile things that you actually want to do.
watchseries.eu should help fill all the spare minutes of your day.
if i worked from home, i'd have all my routine work done in about an hour, less if a really put a shift on things, and then i'd potter about and occasionally check my email for shit which dun gon wrong.
no one would be any the wiser.
There is a constant stream of work coming in, it never ends!
I will probably just try to clear my queue today whilst napping and drinking honey and lemon. I feel exhausted though and i've only just woken up really.
very pleasant day for a bike ride it is too.
Ie 3pm, and I woke up early do I'm going to sit in bed reading Georges Perec, and trying to find something to put on Pinterest, yet another social networking site I'll probably use for 5 minutes. I just watched Life's Too Short, and I might have Gulasz for lunch. Yum yum yum.
I think I will start cycling to work again.
Also. American Horror story. I <3 this show.
Looking forward to bed tonight.
Or is that saved for this coming weekend?
next weekend I'm going out for a meal with my family. So I'm kind of draggin gmy birthday out over two weekends :)
I keep thinking its the 16th but I think I am way off.
HAPPY YESTERDAY BIRTHDAY, DARCY!! xx
you share it with someone from my office.
Zac Goldsmith is sat a few feet away.
He's a bit of phoowr.
For a Tory.
