Ducks are cool.
Could have done without the soundtrack to that video, though.
I just let them out a moment ago.....my only regret is that we got then when 1 was 3 weeks and 1 was 4 and I think those first weeks we missed were crucial to getting them to bond with us like that.
They love to eat out of our hand and sit on our laps after an evening in the bath and then watch TV but they probably wouldn't follow us around like that. Also we let them run around the garden and they don't try to escape.
I'll take a video and put it up maybe next time they climb the stairs, because that's hilarious!
I liked his little quiff
and film them climbing the stairs and doing other funny things
you're around when they hatch, or soon after otherwise they just don't trust you. I had a leech for mine and everything so you could let them go to the local pond and when it was home time you gently reel them back in. And Chris is right, Ducks going up and down stairs is hilarious
They've tried a few times and they end up tumbling down, although fairly gracefully i don't like to let them do it because they could get hurt.
are they indoor pets? as in do they sleep indoors, and then go for walks outside?
as they mature, outdoors
yeah you can take them for walks, like I said if they see you upon hatching they'll pretty much just follow you anyways
He took it home and put it in the cupboard next to the hot water boiler. When it hatched the first thing it saw was my brother and apparently they just assume that, that is its mother.
So it just used to follow him about everywhere. Eventually due to a horrific accident it died and I always thought it was my fault. I was like five years old and I have carried that guilt around for years. It was probably my first memory.
Just last year my sister told me that it was actually her that caused the poor wee things death. What a bitch!
I'd love a pet duck.
It used to like to live in a wee ice cream tub. It was in its wee tub and the lid was slid back and its head was poking out. Uhm.....
So something was knocked over, I think it was a painting and it hit the lid of the tub and slid it over. The poor wee thing had its neck broken.
Always thought it was me. Felt bad about this. But apparently it was that pesky sister of mine.
Am I a bad person?
It's one from a couple of weeks ago...i'll try get a better one tonight...naomi (the brown duck) is so cute when she climbs the stairs
good old campbell and naomi
I'll see if i can get it on zshare too
